My husband had a stroke that affected one of his hands and I searched thru products that will make things easier in the kitchen because he loves to cook. this product worked very well and is easy to use. I put the tomato in first and the lighter vegetables last before cutting. I would say that this size would make a salad for about 3 persons maybe 4. If there is a larger version of this I would purchase it as well.

I received the item in brand new packaging so left me disappointed to see that the green base came cracked. This made it a little more difficult to chop the salad through the slits as the base was not stable. Would have given it 5 stars, if the base did not come broken.

Good for teaching your children or a disabled person to help in the kitchen with less fear of injury. Its quick, cuts down on the number of cutting mats and bowls needed and allows for quick and safe chopping. Just with the bowl was bigger. I need one for a family. This is individual sized. But it did allow me to teach my autistic daughter to help make salad and cut carrots tomato and cucumbers.

It makes a tiny, one person salad. i need to do it twice to get enough just for me. It is difficult to turn to slice the opposite direction. Great idea, not very good in reality!

I do not eat packaged ready cut lettuce so I cut all fresh lettuce and produce for salads and cooking. Neatly contained unit for cutting head lettuce and even Romaine. I rolled up the Romaine stuffed it in and cut through every 2nd slot, same as I did with the iceberg heads...then turned the plate 180 and cut again. The plate keeps the lettuce high enough to cut completely through and the slotted bowl keeps all contained....just empty out into the bowl provided ( too small for me) or a bigger bowl. Slotted cutting bowl could be a bit larger to accommodate the head lettuce but I still think this is a handy keeper for me.

This is barely large enough for just the lettuce. When I chop up salad on my plate, it flies all over the counter, so I was looking for something to hold it all while cutting - lettuce, other greens and veggies, chicken or boiled eggs. This works fine for just a small amount of lettuce. It comes out nicely cut. But it's way too small for my purposes.

Very small. I like a large chopped salad for dinner, with lots of ingredients. I used a serrated knife. I did lettuce first, turned twice to get small pieces. Then I did sliced tomatoes, chunks of carrot, celery, cucumber, onion, egg. Tomatoes need to be sliced & put in first, carrots & celery didn't chop well. Left in big chunks. I'll try slicing them into thin strips first. So still a lot of prep work. Tried it several days. Not worth the time spent prepping. Returned

Got this to try to eat more salad as I never have time to cut it up otherwise with a small toddler running around- definitely helped me a lot because of the ease of use. I have used it for salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, and chicken breast. Super easy to clean.I wouldn’t use for stuff like onions that I like to be super fine- but it does the job and does the job well for everything else.
