Wading in Waist-High Water: The Lyrics of Fleet Foxes

I preordered this back in June and I have to say, I was expecting more. My main motivation for purchase was for the promised song notes. The notes are really just footnotes and trivia. I would've liked to see a deeper analysis of lyrics than what was offered. The notes were very fun and I'm glad they were there but when reading, many songs had lyrics that felt like they should have connected notes but were left a blank mystery. That's okay though, the book was exactly what it said: a book of lyrics. The introduction and afterword were great, just wish we saw more of that. Took me about two-hours to read the whole book.
