The Steam Deck I just bought is great. The price is fair and reasonable compared to the last year scalpers price, but I caught this at a discount so it wasn't much more than regular. Outside of that, it's a brand new system and works flawless out of the box. This little thing is the best thing ever for gaming and gaming on the go. PLEASE set aside extra money to buy storage. You WILL need it. But it really surprised me how cool this thing is! it has really nice quality and it works fast enough, you can buy steam games on this and it's like actually having a computer in your hands! I finished installing dual boot operating systems so I can play Steam games on Steam OS then shift to Windows 11 OS to play non Steam games. The dual boot is working flawlessly and without any issues.

This might be the best purchase I ever made. The only downside is the operating system. It does the job, but it's not perfect. For example: sometimes steam saves shader cache files onto the internal storage, rather than your SD card. Which for 64GB gets filled up easily.. There are some workarounds for this, but you gotta dig around a bit. Gaming mode is as intuitive as it gets. So if you wanna use it as just a console, then it literally doesn't get any better.Edit: they fixed the shaders cache issue. The experience is much more smooth right now. This is the perfect device for me.

UPDATE 25/7/23Decided not to return the Deck as I wanted to get back to tweaking and poking around. Some things buyers should note1. Steam doesn’t have all the latest games as many studios are offering them through their own game stores/launchers - typically Origin, EA, Epic (no Fortnite), Blizzard (no Diablo 4), etc.2. Lots of tutorials online to show you how to add 3rd party stores/launchers/emulators to your Deck so you have a wider range of games to play on the Deck - e.g. Lutien, Heroic apps3. Just because Valve marks a game as Deck Verified doesn’t mean it plays well on the Deck, at least not at max graphics performance. This is still a handheld console. Learn to use ProtonDB (web site) to see what works and what settings are recommended4. Plug-ins can help with the overall ownership experience - I recommend Decky Loader. Doesn’t require root access nor sideloading.5. While it sucks to have to pay for a game you already own on a different platform (e.g Xbox / PS - in my case, I have Horizon Zero Dawn on my PS5), some older AAA games have discounts from time to time.6. You might want to consider buying a USB-C hub, keyboard (wired is recommended), mouse (wired or 2.4Ghz, not Bluetooth) if you plan to tinker (and you should, in order to get the most out of Deck - if you’re expecting to use it as-is out of the box, you’ll be quite disappointed). Connect the hub, keyboard and mouse to a TV or monitor using HDMI allows you to run the Deck like a PC, and you can pretty much play PC games on Steam as you do with your regular laptop/desktop - performance limitations still apply7. Fast charging only needs 45W, so don’t go crazy getting a high-wattage charger. I recommend the Anker PowerCore+ 26800 45W charger with bundled 30W wired charger if you want a portable power bank, or the Ugreen 100W GaN charger which will allow you fast charge the Deck, a tablet and a phone simultaneously.****Overall, hardware is impressive, but within hour, I realized that many of my favorite games will require extensive tinkering to play on the Deck - Diablo isn’t available (Battke.net side load required), Horizon (Zero Dawn is old but available and frame rates aren’t great; Forbidden West isn’t on Deck), PGA Tour 2K23 isn’t verified (keyboard tinkering needed), Fallout (older ones available but not really compatible with Deck), Mechwarrior 5 (not Deck verified/ fully compatible)Tons of indie games but I’m really not into them. Great value if you’re looking for a gaming handheld and have time inclination to tinker in Linux

Got the basic version of the Steam deck for playing games on the go. Added a memory card for storage and it works great! Surprisingly capable with games and using the SD card works just fine. Initially thought I’d upgrade to an SSD, but don’t really see the point. Well recommend.

I bought the 500 gb one and it’s perfect, it has all my pc games on portable handheld and most of the games work perfectly, the things I recommend getting is:1: Portable Fan (Preferably JSAUX)2: Screen Protector ( Don’t want any scratches do ya)3: Bigger Case (I’m talking HUGE)4: 500 GB/ 1 TB Sd card ( Storage runs up fast)5: JoyCon Grips ( Normal Ones Are a bit Slippery)Besides that this is perfect for playing games in the car, on the train, on an airplane, and many more.10/10 Would Recommend!(Don’t Worry About Heating, It’s supposed to do that)

No complaint...... Product was good....... But pakaging was horrible

So glad I bought it, totally worth the price. Now I can game on bed and play most of my steam games. You get access to most of your games on steam, even though some may be listed as partially support, they still run great with no performance or control issues. For some games, you may get a black screen on launch. However, switching from Big Picture to Desktop mode fixes the issue.

The Steam Deck is a great way to play PC games on the go. It performs really well, with smooth gameplay and a responsive control setup. The screen is sharp, and the battery life holds up for decent playtime. It’s a bit bulky, but it’s worth it for the power and flexibility it offers. Overall, a solid choice for portable gaming.

The steam deck is a surprisingly good way of getting into PC games on a budget. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not gonna run black ops 6 but what it can run is impressive. The Witcher 3, metro series, cyberpunk, the last of us part 1 and no man’s sky run like a dream and are quite good looking, not ultra graphics of course but it’s surprisingly powerful. Even games as hardware intensive as ready or not or forever winter are able playable on the lower graphics settings. Once again you won’t be running the latest and greatest but with some messing around you’ll be surprised. It’s a little larger than I expected which can make it seem rather cumbersome at first but you adjust to the added weight and width of the controller with time. The unexpected size can make it a little less portable than I’d like but that’s a very personal experience. Since I travel internationally a lot and I travel light, one backpack, it can be a squeeze to fit it in but you may not have that issue. Overall I can’t recommend a steam deck more to people that want to play pc games at a fair performance and at a cheaper price or to people that care about game portability. Top product

الجهاز روعه بشكل خيالي انا من عمري 3 سنين وانا شخص محب وعاشق للالعاب يعني ستيم ديك كان ماكنت اتمناه حرفياً جهاز قادر على تشغيل الالعاب الكبيره بمستوى جيد وقادر على تشغيل محاكيات بشكل خورافي جهاز لديه إمكانيات كثيره و فيه حريه كبيره لأنك تعدل وتركب وتسوي امور كثيره وتقدر بنفس الوقت تستخدمه دون ماتضيف اي شي النظام كامل ومتكامل الجهاز مايقول لك وش تسوي فيه انت حر احد مميزاته الاخرى الجهاز جداً جداً جداً مريح في اللعب جهاز رغم وزنه ولكن مصمم بشكل يوزع الوزن بشكل متساوي عشان اثناء لعبك ماتحس بالوزن وتوزيع الازرار محسوب صح والجهاز يعني مشهور وله مستخدمين كثر كثر فلما تحتاج تعرف شي عنه بسبب قاعدته الكبيره غالباً بتلاقيجواب الي تبيه بسبب حجم قاعدة المستخدمين الميزه الأخيرة وميظه كبيره الجهاز يستغل سرعات الذواكر الجوال الخارجيه بشكل كامل وهذا الامر جداً رائع يعني لودينق الالعاب صاير اسرع من بلايستيشن فور بمراحل قريب من بلايستيشن فايف لكن انت مشغلها على ذاكرة جوال خارجيه وانصح الجيبع بشراء ذاكره سريعه عيوبه وجدت عيب ونص كيف عيب ونص الجهاز بطاريته سريعة النفاذ ولكن هل امر يصير مع الالعاب الكبيره الثقيل هي من تستنزفه بشكل سريع اما المحاكيات و الالعاب الخفيفه هنا يبدء يعطيني الجهاز ساعات كثير ست سبع ساعات يعني الجهاز بطاريته تعتمد على كيف هو استخدامك خلصنا من نص عيب العيب الكبير هو النظام رغم ما النظام رائع وخفيف وواضح لكن ماهو ويندوز و في الالعاب تحتاج نظام ويندوز لأجل برامج متوفره في ويندوز فقط في الالعاب كثيره ومهمه لدى الناس مش مدعومه في نظام الستيم ديك
