Blackberry is back.
If you have been looking for a blackberry keyone limited black edition for use in the states, this is definitely a great option. I'm using tmobile and all I had to do was swap Sim cards and I was up and running. I get perfect 4g lte here in Arizona, and standard cellular service is also good. I paid for expedited shipping and it arrived in 3 days from the Uk. (So yes it comes with a UK wall plug) Now the phone it self. I like it a lot, it is a mid spec android phone, but it accomplishes everything most people need it for. The weird aspect ratio does cause black bars on YouTube but I got use to it rather quickly. Instagram and many other apps work great. The star of the show is the keyboard, and it's really good, they keys are the perfect size, they have good click, and it feels so much better then a virtual keyboards, I promise once you get use to it you won't want to go back. Secondly is the predictive text is really good si missing one letter in a word corrects it upon pressing the space bar, and it's pretty accurate. The one con I do have and something that kind of bugs me is the the capacitive keys on the keyboard are not vary accurate or responsive, sometimes it works other times I will freeze my screen as it figures out what it's doing. It's only a couple of seconds, and it's only happens twice, both times on Instagram, but something too keep note of. Great batterlife, easily 14 hours of use. Also quick charge over USB type c is here as well. Overall I have been loving this phone, and you will to. P.s. Its also a looker, people will treat you differently...in a good way. Two photos below give a good idea for camera quality, it's not spectacular by any means, but for a blackberry it's really good.

The Key board and the availability of everything app I need on this phone
I did not like it that I dropped it in to water. I did like that I could get it dried out and use it again but my screen colors are poor so I am ordering a new one now.(5 months later after the water incident) It is a fabulous phone.

๋๋ perfect
If you buy this and decide the number of stars below 4, you are abnormal. I already have a Galaxy Note 8 and an iPhone 7, but I am happier now than when I bought them. This is a perfect design. Also great. Do not worry.

This is the phone for people that need to get things done which includes a great battery life
If you're a true blackberry fan. This is the phone for you. The true essence of BlackBerry the physical keyboard is back. It's been such a long time since I've used one the priv not so much. It slightly lags though. I am figuring maybe a software issue. But other than that it feels really smooth. The battery is incredible. I start my day 630 am and trust me when I say I don't need to charge my phone at all . It's 10:33 pm now and I have a 44%charge left on my phone. This is the phone for people that need to get things done which includes a great battery life.

The keyboard's tactile feel is the best on the KEYone
I am using a Passport, PRIV and now KEYone! The keyboard's tactile feel is the best on the KEYone, then Passport, PRIV the worst. But Android OS is much better than Passport's... :)

Best Phone I've Ever Had!!!
This phone is absolutely AMAZING. Keeps up easily in 2019 with all the latest apps! Some things to bear in mind though: - If you rotate through a lot of apps install greenify to stops apps hogging memory or the phone will slow, the phone will notify you when it's running low. Don't let this put you off, I currenly have spotify, facebook, tinder, amazon app, chrome, keep notes, calculator, whatsapp, FB messenger and audible running in background with 0 lag. As well as 3 widgets on the home. - from what I gather loads of updates can cause issues with lag. When you buy this phone install ALL the system updates before you set up anything. Then do a factory reset and wipe the phone, the updates will stay and you can then set it up with no lag issues. - I also disabled any blackberry apps I dont use that may run in background... which was pretty much all of them. As someone with mild dyslexia this phone is an absolute godsend, the physical keyboard makes writing so easy. Once you get used to the layout you can type as fast as a PC keyboard, no one with a touch screen will come anywhere close to typing as fast as with this. The in built spell check is VERY good also. Everything about this phone is AMAZING. Only let down is the sound quality isn't the best, but it's still decent, it's a small sacrifice well worth making to own this phone. Convenience key on the side for is SOOO good, I use it for spotify, as are the keyboard shortcuts for launching apps on the homescreen. Cuts down on homescreen clutter and makes things so much easier. Get yourself a protective case for the outside if you care about keeing it in good condition, the metal body can dent easily. Honestly every time I use this phone it's an absolute joy and makes me smile. I've had lots of lastest smartphones, my last was an S8 and also tried the Xperia X series. I used to love physical keyboards back in the day (google G1, moterola milestone etc) I wish I had got the blackberry key series MUCH sooner. Having a physical keyboard is such an absolute joy, I have no idea how anyone can actually enjoy using a screen keyboard... I can only presume its because most people just buy what everyone else does and aren't willing to try something new. Also most people are incomprehensiblely IT illiterate and probably wouldn't be able to make use of all these phones amazing functions either. TLDR; amazing phone, I was skeptical at first, but if you take the time to set it up correctly and use the greenify app it is an AMAZING PHONE. Can't recommend it enough. Looking forward to trying the next gen key series when the prices come down. If you're interested, just buy it, you wont regret it as long as you follow the update installation instructions above.

Battery Abysmal after 6 months of barely being used at all
I have taken far longer than anticipated to switch over from my Blackberry Priv, but six months in with only minimal use (playing a couple of songs here or there) and the battery on it has degraded to being worse than my Priv (which has been my main phone for four years!) It doesn't even last the day! What makes it worse is that sometimes Youtube will crash the phone into restarting eating a good 10-20% of the battery. For some reason it won't tell me what is rinsing the battery either - unlike the Priv which gives a full breakdown, the apps the battery tracker shows only accounts for 10% of the battery life, so where is the other 90% going?! The screen time is 20 minutes and it shut down due to low battery. Absolute crock... It's a shame. The keyboard and button feedback is lovely and the phone itself is very nice but sadly after 6 months it is unusable and in worse condition than an older more primitive phone. Edit: After taking it out of its case, I have since noticed that the battery has bloated outwards - so you can add dangerous to useless. Shocking!

In the times where loud equals better for many, this is another BlackBerry phone that doesn't get the kudos it is due.
This is my third BlackBerry handset, after the Curve and the Passport. As a fan, I was disappointed that BlackBerry decided not to carry on with their OS. I have used Android phones before and hated them so have resisted as long as I could. I hesitated a long time before buying - Motion or KeyOne. The keyboard won me. To be honest, I had not thought so much about the keyboard and expected the same as the Passport's but it was a massive surprise to have the traditional BlackBerry keyboard and it felt so natural to be typing. The keys are soft and very responsive. I initially set up the handset without transferring any content from my previous phone and found it easy to do so. The transfer between BlackBerry OS and Android was also straightforward through the BB Content Transfer app though I was very selective about what I transferred over because I wanted to make sure I personalise my handset as much as I could - that was one of BlackBerry OS10's forte. The KeyOne however, does not offer the array of customisation which the Passport offered, for example, sound profiles, LED notifications are limited (unless you download apps from Google Play Store which I am not keen on) As another reviewer mentioned, the BlackBerry KeyOne is heavily connected to Google and this is a weakness and took some tweaking of individual app settings to remove the Google backup etc functionality. The Hub is one of the best features which has remained from BB10 OS but again, some customisation options have been lost. I have an iPhone SE for work and the fingerprint sensor never recognise my digits after 24hours which is extremely annoying. The KeyOne's sensor lives up to its function and has recognised my fingerprints without much issue. I noticed when I set the phone up that the handset's overall volume is lower than the Passport. As I am hard of hearing, this concerned me but I was amazed by my first phone call. Even though BBB100-2 doesn't offer hearing aid compatibility, the sound quality (clarity) is very good and there is little feedback from my hearing aid. It's a pity that the KeyOne doesn't come in white :( Another downside with the Android OS is that BlackBerry (or TCL) decided to forego their photo and video apps, again relying instead on Google apps. Finally, it is a major let down that KeyOne users in UK have not been sent the latest update when it has been released elsewhere. The new update gives more functionality that the Passport had, for example, un/hiding photos. All in all, it is a beautiful handset and paradoxically, I am happy that I moved to Android OS with a BlackBerry handset. UPDATE: My Blackberry KeyOne received the AAT-166 update today 15/01/2018, with it comes a File Manager and the Locker app! Fantastic. 18/01/2018, in regards to customisation, I have been able to replicate a lot of the settings I had on my BlackBerry Passport, however, the interface is less user friendly. For example, different sounds for different type of messages, for emails you have access to customisation options in the Hub but for text messages, in the Hub you can only change the LED notification colour. To change the sound, you need to go to the text messages app. A tad messy.
