Polish Model Kit - Ford Tf-c Armored, Samochod pancerny
B**R
Simple model of an important vehicle
After World War One most of Europe was exhaused from over six years of war. The Soviet Armies were on the march through Poland in 1921 and were on the verge of taking Warsaw. The Polish took old Model T cars, put trench armor from the former German Army on the cars, and 21 of these cars turned the flank of the Soviet Army and saved Poland from being absorbed into Russia.RPM makes this model and it's simple. As much as I do not like Lindberg's 1915 Model T Lindberg 1:32 scale 1915 Ford Model T Coupe it's almost worth it to get that kit and use this model as a guide for a conversion. The RPM model can be made into an O.K. kit. The instructions come on the back of the box. Also, there are some places on the web you can reference pictures. The parts need trimming. Also, make sure you "dry fit" the pieces togther before final glueing. The kit will build into a fair representation of the Ford TF-C. There is no engine or engine detail. The .30 Maximum machine guns just screems to be properly scratch built. The item I really disliked were the tires and wheels. They come molded as one piece. You'll have to spend a lot of time cleaning them up and painting them. So, I would have to give the kit 2 stars. It's an important historic vehicle.

This needs better instructions
This is a difficult kit to assemble. The only instructions are 'small' drawings on the back of the box without any text description. These drawings show where each numbered part can be found on the spur. Half of the parts are for the under carriage which has many tiny pieces. Fortunatly the instructions include two scale drawings of the under carriage to show the exact position of these parts. The parts have few ridges and no pin holes to assist with assembly. There will also be a number of extra parts that do not belong with this model. There is also no historic decription of any kind for this vehical.
