This has been groundbreaking for me to take it during the dark winter SAD months. I had been taking higher doses of Vitamin D, but when my blood panel came back with too much in my system, I knew I needed an alternative. I usually take the Metabolic Maintenance 5mg methylfolate and this is the exact same. Quite literally, I believe MethylPro is an offshoot of the same company so I'm pretty sure it's an identical product from the same lab. I bought this this time because I wanted a 30 count, and the Metabolic Maintenance one only comes in a 90 count. I wasn't sure I wanted to keep taking these or not, so I got a smaller bottle. I'm pretty sure I will buy the bigger bottle next time because I do like the effect of these and plan to continue taking them. Overall, I feel more energetic and have better concentration and motivation when I take these. I have taken these on and off for several years and I always feel better during the on periods. It is subtle, so I always kind of end up doubting that they're doing anything and stop taking them, but then I always start to feel worse and then start back up again. I took a blood test and was told I have the MTHFR gene mutation and should supplement with a higher dose folate. I kind of thought it was crap but I do feel better when I take this so, I don't know, maybe it's legit. I've also been told that it's important to take this with a B-complex vitamin and I think that's legit as well. This folate causes me a touch of anxiety and irritability if I don't take it with the B-complex, so I would recommend that if you're going to take this. It's expensive but I think it's worth it.
