MINI Cooper UV Sunshade for R50, R52, R53, R55, R56, R57 Models - Silver Foldable Sun Protector - 82 11 0 035 953

I was hopping for a cute little sunshade for my new Mini, but it turns out that the windshield is so incredibly tiny, nothing else fits it! LOL! I found this sunshade on Amazon, and it got great reviews. I’ve never even come CLOSE to spending this much money on a sunshade, but this seemed to be my only option, so I hit the “purchase” button. The seller emailed me a couple of days later to inquire about the model of my car, to ensure that the sunshade would fit. I did read the description carefully, so I knew it would, and the seller confirmed this. Within only a couple of days from said email, I received the sunshade. I knew from other reviews that it was going to be much larger than I probably expected - and it was!! It makes me giggle because where do you store such a large sunshade in such a tiny car? Lol! I just put mine in the backseat when not in use, as it is a rare occasion that someone sits back there. I think that if I needed to, it would fit vertically in the seat back pockets. The sunshade does come with a case - a case that is seemingly nicer than the sunshade.... It is extra, EXTRA large and made out of a faux leather material. Not to put it down, tho - it is very nice. The sunshade itself is very thick and seems excellent quality. Reflective on one side, felted on the other. I do have to finagle it around the rear view mirror, as the sunshade is not flexible whatsoever. I usually end up just moving my rear view mirror and then readjusting it when I am ready to drive again. Not a huge deal, definitely not a deal breaker, but a slight irritation. I was previously using a flimsier, thinner sunshade from Wal-Mart prior to receiving this one and this sunshade definitely keeps the car much cooler! Side note: The invoice is on the side of the box in a plastic sleeve. Do NOT forget to remove it if you don’t want your husband to know how much you spent on a simple sunshade and subsequently get irritated at you! Lol!

This "MINI 82110035953 R50, R52, R53, R55, R56 & R57 UV Sunshade," purchased from seller: BMW | MINI OF ARLINGTON, fits my 2009 MINI Cooper S Clubman. I received it within 4 days of ordering it in excellent condition. It looks like it came with my car. It slides in and out of the very nice, matching case easily, it fits the windshield just right, and looks really nice. It just goes so well with my car. It also seems to be very well made of good quality materials, and feels very sturdy. I never thought I'd pay this much for a sunshade before, but it seems to be worth it (I've only had it for a little over a week now, but it should last, seems like it should last for a few years at least). I would recommend this sunshade.

The MINI sunshade is a perfect fit for my 2013 Cooper S Hardtop. It covers the windshield from top to bottom. There's just the smallest gap at the top, which is necessary to fit the shade into the windshield, but the sun is mostly blocked by the rearview mirror and folding the shades down. I love how the sunshade folds neatly and includes a bag to keep it clean. Yeah, it was expensive, but I've been envious of my husband's Subaru shade for too long. It was time to treat my car to a real MINI shade.

Nice sturdy windshield sun shade. It was a bit pricey but I haven't found anything else as adequate as this one. My husband wants one for his truck but we can't find one like it to fit his truck -- he ended up with the usual floppy shield. Is it a bit bulkier than usual shields? Yes, but if you want something that slides into place in a snap without a lot of flopping around then this is the one for you. Thick - and filters out the sun for sure and I've noticed my air conditioner immediately blows cool air, even on days when the temperature is over 95F. Fits my 2015 Mini Countryman perfectly.

Since getting a MINI I decided it best to protect my investment from the Texas sun, which can be pretty hardcore. The sunshade fits pretty well. The only negatives I've found after using it about a month is that it leaves a tiny amount of space vertically, and that I'm always bumping the rear view mirror putting it up. Small things, I know, but when you're paying such a premium for a sunshade... Otherwise, great item.

Fits well, works well. I live in Tempe, Arizona ( desert for those who don't know). It dropped the temperature in my car by at least 30 degrees. It's rigid, folding design makes it easy to install and store. And it looks classy. This is a BMW sourced part and has real insulation in it, not just a foil cover.

First of all, no this does not cover every single square inch of my windshield. I wasn't expecting that. However, I live in the hot Arizona desert, and I wanted to find something that would protect the interior of my car while providing a means of making it so that I can actually drive somewhere if I'm in a hurry after parking in the hot sun for a few hours. This fits that bill, and it looks nice doing it. There is a small learning curve in trying to figure out exactly how it works, but after that, it's extremely easy to assemble and de-assemble on the fly. The one very large concern of mine, given the fact that I drive a MINI Cooper where no space is wasted, was that there would be a place to stow it when it was not in use. It turns out, it comes with a nice little stow-away pouch that fits into the cargo-net behind the driver's or shotgun seat. Therefore, when it is not in use, it doesn't take up any space at all. And it looks so sweet sitting in my windshield with the MINI logo in the middle. I give this an A++++++.

This fit my R50 perfectly. Blocks out the sun as it should. Great material very durable. Came in a storage pocket that is excellent quality. Just a bit pricey. But you get what you pay for. I'd buy it agsin.
