Great value for money for any age
The media could not be loaded. Excellent book, easy to understand and with many explanations and exercises. I purchased it for myself because I wanted something that explained in detail to better understand the English language. It comes with QR code in the lessons which is very interesting because we have the opportunity to listen too to improve even more. To access it is easy, you just need to follow the instructions that are in the boxes on the side with the arrow pointing to the QR Code.Note: I highly recommend this.

The third in a series of excellent support books to help EAL students at secondary age.
First, you need to understand that these books are a useful support and addition to tuition or a proper course of study, NOT a replacement. Make no mistake. However, once you understand that, it is a very well designed and useful set of books. This one builds on the previous two, so do NOT start with this one. Find the other two first. This time around, students move on to more complex ideas:comparatives and superlatives, irregular past tense verb families, past participles, irregular verbs. It gives additional subject language for Design and Technology, Maths, Geography, History and the Sciences. It is a phonics based programme, so the SOUND of words is clearly essential. The clever thing is that this book includes free online audio, which is absolutely essential.Worth every penny ! If used properly.N.B. the book itself states ,students will need help reading the instructions. Don't just give this book to the child. They will really struggle. But working with them,it will be really useful.

There is definitely good content here.
For a class on ELL certification, I had to buy this. It provided helpful advice for working with the rising number of English language learners in public schools. Some of my classmates ordered their books from another source, but they didn't get them in time for our fast-paced program.Even though English Learners have it "a little" harder than non-ELs, I never imagined that if they struggle on a standardized test like the SAT, their chances of getting into a good university would be affected. This may have an impact on their career path for the rest of their lives, which is a step further.Great for teachers who want to learn more about how to work with students of the English language.

A great workbook for improving English as a second language
As with the other CGP books, this English as an Additional Language is exceptional in terms of quality and ease of use. It helps my wife practice her English more in order to improve in her job but it's excellent for anyone taking English at a younger level, too.it's best to get all the levels and work through them even if you think you might want to skip to level 3, as these compliment the earlier learning,

Further exercises in the English Language for new learners.
This is the third workbook in a series, aimed at teenage students who are new to the English language. The workbook first extends on the use of verbs, adverbs and adjectives. The second part of the workbook introduces some basic vocabulary, relating to core school subject such as Biology, Chemistry and History. As with the previous workbook, exercises include QR codes, which link to audio content. There are answers to all the problems at the back of the book, so students can complete the whole workbook on their own. However, this is a more challenging workbook to complete than the previous two. Good value for money.

Excellent for learning English as an additional language
This book is an excellent resource for students learning English as an additional language. It is aimed at students who have gained confidence with English vocabulary, grammar and punctuation. The book is set out in a very accessible and engaging style, with colourful illustrations and interesting topics and tasks to complete. The range of topics covered is very comprehensive, including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and a variety of different subject matters.I would not hesitate to recommend this book to teachers of EAL/TESOL/TEFL and to parents who wish to buy it to encourage and assist their children in learning English as an additional language.

Well laid-out workbook
CGP books are normally great learning and revision tools, and this one is no exception. It’s well laid-out, seems to cover the whole syllabus, and is already coming in useful. Four stars.
