So Far, So Bright
I've been using this flashlight for 3 weeks now. I live in a very rural area, and I enjoy exploring the woods alone at night. I needed something that offered a variety of different brightnesses, and I also needed something with a powerful max brightness. I had used a variety of sub $100 flashlights, but none of them offered me what I was looking for. So I decided to spend big.I'm glad I did. I was concerned while watching youtube videos that it would be complicated using this flashlight. It's not. I found it really easy to get used to the different buttons, and what they do. Watch some videos a few times. The instruction booklet that comes with this is not all that great, but that's why a whole industry of review videos has popped up online.I have not had issues with this overheating, and I've used it a lot in rain and snow and I haven't had any issues. No issues in subzero temperatures. The flashlight feels amazing in my hands. Not too heavy, but not so light as to feel cheap. It is also awesome that it has a shape which prevents it from rolling off of the counter. The way I hold this makes it exceptionally easy to switch the brightness. However, it can sometimes be too easy. My only complaint is that, while wearing gloves, it can be hard to not inadvertently hit the turbo button. You definitely do not want to do that while looking at the light. Also, be cautious where you point this while using it in the snow. I have no doubt that I could start a fire with this thing if I needed to.There are a few different modes, including spotlight and strobe. If you know even a little bit about flashlights, you probably already know that no flashlight is capable of maintaining its maximum brightness for long periods. You will get 20,000 lumens from this for maybe 10 seconds or so. It's not going to remain that bright indefinitely. However, I find that the "high" mode is really bright. probably at least 3,000 lumens on average. If you need more than that consistently, you've probably already discovered that there isn't a flashlight this size that exists which can put out 20,000 lumens for minutes or hours. And if there is, you won't be getting it for $300.At the price point, I'm really impressed by this. It is truly a compact, handheld flashlight that puts out serious light. I have no doubt that this would work if I ever needed to blind a predator or an assailant briefly, and escape. It's also a really nice looking flashlight, and feels very premium in the hands. The packaging is also impressive. Overall, it has a very premium feel. Charging is a little slow (compared to things like the iphone or macbook pro). You'll need at least 5 hours to fully charge. I haven't used the flashlight for more than an hour at a time, but I'm guessing battery life will start to be an issue closer to 90 minutes. Of course, it all depends on the brightness you're using, and the duration.

Monster flashlight
This is the beast of all tactical flashlight by far. Very expensive but worth it. I love these. Super bright. That 20,000 lumens is something else.๐ฅ

Product broken out of the box
I had very high expectations for this flashlight and expected a quality product when you're spending $300. But I was immediately disappointed after I received the flashlight and attempted to operate it but unfortunately the flashlight did not work ONCE! I charged the flashlight for days assuming it was a charging issue and no that was not this issue. End of story this was my first and last product I will purchase from Nitecore.

Insanely bright light!
This thing is super bright, manageably small in the hand, and relatively easy to use. I took off one star for having non-accessible batteries. I wish there was a way to trade out 18650 cells or whatever is inside it... and carry spares if I'm bringing it camping or somewhere I can't readily recharge it.It's quite an expensive light and lithium batteries do have a lifespan, so once it's been through a few hundred charge/discharge cycles, it's going to have an increasingly short battery life until it's almost useless.
