Pyle speakers are legit
I bought these inexpensive speakers to replace some old Pioneer shelf model speakers purchased in 1992 and used throughout the decades until now. I can't believe how good these speakers sound for the price paid. I use these Pyle speakers with an old Sony receiver from the early 90's. I get plenty volume and the bass, treble and mids are clear and sound damn good when playing either LPs/vinyl on a turntable, CDs from a cheap DVD deck or streaming Sirius and Apple Music from my Android phone. The 6.5 inch wofers provide plenty of bottom end. Speakers look nice on my mantel and don't take up much space. Highly recommended to those who are looking for an affordable option to replace old speakers.

Surprisingly Good
I had managed expectations because of the cheap price. Very impressed! These replace a set of 80s era Kenwood three-way towers that always seemed a little boomy. These have good, tight bass and crisp highs. Look good too.

Hidden little gems!!!
So far, so good. The build quality looks great. I got them hooked to my amplifier/receiver and started playing several different genres of music to be able to hear all the sounds these speakers can produce. I was pleasantly surprised. Great sound from such a small package. These speakers hit all the notes, from high frequency to low frequency. For a 6.5 speaker it has really great bass, granted it's not a 10,12, or 15 inch sub, but for what it is, it has a good punch to them. And I've noticed that the more I use these speakers the better they sound. I never thought you had to break in speakers, but after a little research on the subject, you absolutely need to break them in. I have them hooked up to my 500w amplifier, my Amp has 125w per channel. I have slowly been up-ing the volume to break them in. My receiver/amplifier goes up to 30 on volume, and I can now push the 125w per channel on volume 30 with absolutely no detectable distortion. So if you're looking for a decent speaker package at a low price point, these speakers don't disappoint. Granted that these are not high end tower speakers or other bigger home stereo speakers, but for them being a bookshelf speaker they work amazingly. We have an open concept living room/kitchen. So my amplifier and speakers are under my TV. So with them being in what I would consider a medium to large room, living/kitchen area I'm in a space that's 30'x17' and these speakers don't disappoint. So now I do want to,,, in the near future, add a passive 12" subwoofer to take some of the low end bass off of the bookshelf speakers. So basically my overall opinion of these speakers are that you get a great bang for your buck. I would definitely recommend these for people looking for great sounding speakers at a low price point.

Great Speakers!
These speakers are really really good. They are heavy and well made. Responsive bass, dynamic mids and highs that sound great. These are quality speakers that punch way up out of their class, comparable to speakers that cost three and four times what these cost. Use quality, heavy gauge speaker wire and a good audio source (Amplifier) and these will outperform your expectations time and again.

Great sound for the price!
I ordered these to replace the small crappy speakers that came with a panasonic cd player/tuner. These made all the difference! I wanted a deep punchy bass sound and these delivered! I had to buy speaker wires, but that was ok since i could create the lengths that were needed. It was easy to connect the wires to each unit. Now the cds and tuner sound fine.

“Pyle of 💩… but honestly, not bad for the price.”
Let me start by saying I paid under $100 for these speakers, so my expectations were hovering somewhere between “maybe they’ll make noise” and “please don’t burst into flames.” And honestly? They surprised me. The Good: The low bass on these 6.5" Pyles is actually pretty impressive. I mean, they thump. Not window-rattling, but definitely enough to make you check whether the cat is knocking something over again. In an A/B test against my JBL 5.25" speakers, these Pyles actually edged them out in the low bass department. Yes, I said that. (But don’t get excited—this is where the compliments start gasping for air.) The “Oh… oh no.” The mids and high mids? Missing. Like vanished without a forwarding address missing. Horns, guitars, voices… all shoved into the background like they’re being punished in time-outs. Honestly, voices fall so far back in the mix that I briefly wondered if I should start using these speakers when my wife talks to me. Built-in marital equalizer...score! Then we get to the highs: harsh and “tinny,” like someone taped a tweeter to a soda can. If you increase the bass to compensate for the missing midrange, the tiny bit of midrange that does show up gets muddy and muffled. It’s like the speaker is apologizing for trying. The Comparison: Is it fair to compare $100 Pyles to JBLs that cost more than twice as much? Absolutely not. Did I do it anyway? Of course I did. And the JBLs beat them everywhere except low bass. Clarity, mids, highs, overall quality—JBL wins by a landslide. But again… double the price. Build Quality: Even though these Pyles are physically larger, they’re weirdly lightweight—like “did they forget to put something inside?” lightweight. And the faux-wood finish looks exactly like the contact paper your grandmother used to line the kitchen drawers with in 1977. Nostalgic… but not in a good way. Conclusion: If I’m rating these as primary music-listening speakers, they’re a 2.5 out of 5. If I’m rating them as budget speakers under $100, they’re a solid 4 stars. They’re not great, but you’re also not paying great-speaker money. Bottom line: If you want affordability with decent bass and don’t mind your midrange moving out of state, go for it. If you want actual clarity, warmth, and detail—buy something else.

Best book shelf speakers for the price
I put these on Pure Direct from my A/V receiver that only uses your main front amplifier and speakers. I have a nice tube preamp and a Crown D150 amplifier from the 70s that has perfect specs. These Pyle speakers sound great and no shortage of bass. And for an a great price. Music actually is a little better without a center channel 2 subwoofers and $1,000 ea. surround speakers. The center channel in 5.1 Dolby steals the show, my center channel speaker has a ESS large air motion transformer I added sitting on top. It is incredible.

WOW, WOW, WOW, impressive sounding & beautiful speakers, unbelievable value at full or sale price!!!
My goodness these speakers are incredible value, they look and sound great! build quality is very beautiful. These speakers sound better than $1000.00 speakers I have in my living room and I only paid $80.00 bucks on sale for these excellent speakers. They are worth getting even at full price (about $160 bucks), the soundstage of these speakers is amazing. I can wholeheartedly and without hesitation recommend these unique speakers.

Impressive for what they are
These speakers are quite well balanced and neutral sounding. Very pleasant. Mid-highs are scooped abit, making the highs quite clear. Wooden finish on the black model is quite nice

Not quite as described
This would have attained a higher score if it came with brackets, as stated in the ad.,

Look great by so so. Update “I was wrong!”
So if you are not use to good sound or have never heard a high quality bookshelf speaker you might say these are good. But they sound less then ok. They look great but small stuff like name badge placed crooked and off centre was a downer as it’s glued on and won’t remove without damaging grill cloth. They sound just blah. Nothing to write home about. My source was my NAD amp, I will run them on the tube amp shortly and update. UPDATE** So after connecting a cheap hybrid tube amp while streaming off my phone, I have found myself completely eating my words. I’m sure now there is an issue with my NAD receive and these speakers deserve a much better review then originally posted. They are detailed, sound very lively and honestly sound better then my home speakers do. I am still not pleased with the crooked logo but I do care if they sound this good. I have approx 4hrs on them now and they still wow me.
