When I first came back to wet shaving, one of the most needed items, as part of my initial setup, was a razor and brush stand. After all, the shaving brush needs to hang inverted in order to dry out its bristles and hairs. The razor needs to be up and off the bathroom counter (or sink) so you don't accidentally drop it or knock it to the floor. So, I purchased a standard razor and brush stand. Now, I’m not belittling that stand. It served its purpose. It was nicely chrome plated and provided some utility, although limited. But, in the long run, I could tell that it was lacking just a bit. To begin with, the base was hollowed out and a thick piece of foam was inserted. This gave the impression that is was solid, when it was not. It also had a very bland, common industrial look. Appearances aside, more annoying was its lack of versatility in securely storing various sizes of brushes and razors. As my interest in wet shaving grew and I collected more and different razors and brushes, the stand just wasn't up to the task of handling those new items. Some brushes didn’t fit and other razors had to be suspended upside down. The Admiral Razor and Brush Stand by Vikings Blade solved this problem! It’s extra wide holder openings accommodate more brushes and razors than the average razor and brush stand. Hurrah! Finally! My Merkur Futur Adjustable Razor can hang right-side up! My Vintage Single-Edge Gem MicroMatic Safety Razors now hang securely without needing to be slightly kicked left or right (due to the angled razor head). My Art of Shaving Badger Brush, with its slightly larger diameter handle, fits! (With the other stand, it simply did not fit at all!) Best of all, my Vikings Blade razors and brushes fit beautifully and look truly distinguished! The Admiral is quite handsome! It has an elegant yet manly look while offering classic scandinavian minimalism. The Admiral is solid! No hollowed out base here! Made from Stainless Steel and Brass, it has a great deal of heft and sits on your counter with an anchored authority. The engraving around the outer diameter of the base plate offers additional refinement, along with an appealing, subtle brushing of the stainless steel. The brass offers just enough exquisite highlight. Its stature has a dignity that says, “Here is someone who practices the manly art of the traditional wet shave.” The Admiral is practical in its function. It does it’s job as a razor and brush stand very well! The Admiral is solid, sturdy, elegant (yet very masculine), and built to last a lifetime. The Admiral quickly found a favored place in my shaving den. It’s yet another Vikings Blade tool that makes me look forward to my morning shave. Just having The Admiral as my preferred razor and brush stand caused me to become a bit reflective. You see, not only is the practice of wet shaving handed down from father to son, but the tools that are used are inherited by succeeding generations. The Admiral is indeed a high quality, well made wet shaving tool that will last many, many years! I can’t help but think that, when I look at The Admiral Razor and Brush Stand, how it will most assuredly be handed down from father to son...then grandson...then great grandson.

This thing is legit. It fits my brush and razor just fine. It’s a bit heavy (I mean that in a good way). And after a few months of use I see NO signs of rust or corrosion.

I’ve been on a spending spree buying a wide variety of products and different names for shaving and by far this sleek nice high quality stand is by far better than any other stand if I ever had the pleasure to use. The heavy weight is also a major plus since it stays put and doesn’t fall over unlike other brands. It’s quality metal that will last for years to come unlike very similar but cheaper ones and matches well with my shaving brush from the same brand. Personally if you just want a perfect stand used by Odin himself just buy this and you won’t be regretting this glorious stand hailed as the finest in Valhalla. I own 15 other stands and none even come close to this already put together stand. What are you waiting for? This is the best one you can own and no that other stand you where looking at doesn’t come close to this quality and engineering. I haven’t had any scratches or fall overs if you where curious by the way. Just buckle up and spend that few more dollars you think you where going to save buying another and just buy this one. You will thank me later.

This is great for holding your razor along with you brush, keeps it together for easy access. This helps save space on the counter and easy to when you put it away. Have a weighted bottom and it doesn’t tip over. Works great
