Installed it just above my desk on the wall and it works great. The picture is a little deceiving as to how warm the led is though. It's not THAT warm, but it's also not cold. It's more like 4000k, not 3000kUpdate: after a month, the first one started flickering (the transformer to step down the voltage from the wall for the LED seemed to have a wire that was arcing, as I could hear buzzing when the light turned off, but nothing dangerous. from the high pitch I'm guessing it was very small. Even when I took it apart I couldn't see/smell anything). I contacted customer support and they were very helpful and able to send me another one! This was in November.It is now June and this lamp has just started to flicker too now! I am not, however, hearing buzzing as I have before.READ: Please note that before using this comment as your basis for buying/not buying, this lamp has seen heavy usage. I leave it on any time I am at my computer, and that is many hours a day.

I put two on our headboard when I remodeled recently, one works great but the other started blinking when it gets warm, I can't figure out why. It started after about 3 months. Anyone else had this problem?

I keep buying more of these lights. Great reading lamp over the bed. Most of mine are used as art lamps. Good color rendition in the LEDs, so they work well for lighting artwork. Had a bunch of silver ones, but I wanted one for a kind of dark painting on a dark wall in a dark room, so the matte black works perfectly for that.

I really like this lamp. It’s exactly like it’s described and exactly like the picture. It’s a great lamp for reading or homework. I like that it’s not bulky and that it’s small. It won’t stand on its own but it mounts well to the wall. I’ve had it for 2 years now & it just started to fritz out on me. I’m going to buy another!

Very nice light. Easy to set up. Minus one star because temperature of light not as warm as pictured. It’s more between white light and warm light.

Good light for my reading chair. But hard for me to install.

Bought the cool white light. It's made well enough for my use. Easy to mount on wall. I do wish it had a dimmer. It definitely is bright enough and the light is cast wide enough for my book-reading.

After just over 3 months the light stopped working. It is flickering which can't be stopped. I am trying to find out how to claim it under the 2 year warranty but amazon is not clear on that. I had bought this product before but the flickering didn't start until 2 years after installation .I was hoping for a light that i could use for a while, not less than 3 months...

The product came well packaged and looks good for the price. The flexible gooseneck and the actual LED lamp look sturdy and nice whereas the base is made of cheap plastic and the button to turn it on and off is off white and does not look as nice.The mounting bracket is probably the biggest downside of this product. The lamp base and the bracket have 2 pre-drilled holes that align, but my lamp came with only one screw. Furthermore, the second hole of the bracket is larger than the first, so I was not able to replace the missing screw with one of the spares I have at home.

I installed this sconce on my bedroom wall. It has an electrical fault whereby it draws power to make the radio, plugged into adjacent wall socket, to drop in volume. No other lamp or device does this. I have been advised to throw this item out as it is probably a fire hazard.

Compact and sturdy. The gooseneck maintains its position nicely. The bulb end does get noticeably warm.
