For the price I was sceptical of the quality, however I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the first cartridge. The "finger ledge" has proven helpful for me personally. The way I hold my machine and my giant hands, it helps to have that little support. As far as the quality. These cartridges are solid. They look cool but they work very well. I have not found any of my cartridges to have any defects or barbed needles so far. The needles have minimal play so needle "wobble" has not been an issue for me.
