I like these type of collars, because they are less intrusive than just a plain choker. My little black lab mix is a small dog of about 35 lbs, and most of the collars I found like this were an inch wide with a heavier chaing, which was a little too heavy and robust for a dog this size, The medium size collar, that these folks have is 3/4" wide, with a lighter chain. The collar adjusts down to the smallest size for the medium and fit my little dog perfectly. The other reason I like these collars compared to some of the others is because it has a release for taking it on and off. Some of the other collars would have to be pulled over their head. I live on a ranch, and so many times, if I'm out working with my dog, I remove the collar in case he would get hung up on something. The grey reflector part of the collar works well. Lastly, the price of this collar is better than most, but the quality is top notch. Also, the sellers seem genuinely interested in their customers, the dogs, and in their product. I would recommend this collar.

I recently adopted a pit/mastiff puppy. He's already 61lbs and we're still getting to know each other. He's fine on walks, but loves to take off and jerk my arm when something scares him. I needed a collar that would help me train him, but not hurt him when he takes off in a panic. This collar has been so helpful! He's learning that taking off in a panic causes the collar to pinch on his neck so he's starting to look at me vs bee line for the nearest place to hide. I know we still have some work to do, but I'm very happy to have found this collar to help me get there. It's now his regular collar as well since it can double as a standard collar and its also so easy to remove! Just a quick pinch on the clasp and it's off. Overall it seems very sturdy too... Trust me when I say my boy has tested it limits! Great buy!

Well, it worked great for awhile, but the plastic connector eventually snapped.Probably better for walking the dogs.I used mine on a tied up outside, she loves the sun.I have a small pitbull out in the country and she wants to meet a deer, finally got enough running speed to break the plastic part.

I purchased this collar in size medium. I was afraid that it would not fit my dog. My dog is 70lbs and he is a Labrador. When I received it and it fit perfectly. It actually have a lot of space for him. My dog pull a lot and this work really well on him. The material of this collar is really nice, there is a buckle on the collar so you can take it off easily. The chain quality is really nice, it does not look cheap or easy to break.

My dog doesn't mind it, but she still doesn't mind! She is a super puller, I'm going back to the prong collar. It is a very well made collar, she is comfortable with it, but she tugs and chokes when on the leash. She is just so strong and strong willed.

When I received the collar, I was impressed. Looked well made, tough looking for my german shepherd, and not bad looking overall. I do like the martingale concept, as opposed to a regular collar. However, after using it just a short time, I had to remove it from my dog because it was dangerous. You see, I adjusted it to it's smallest length, as Sadie, my GSD, is only a six month old puppy. It seemed fine at first, then I noticed that she had her lower jaw and teeth caught on the chain and she couldn't get it off. I immediately removed the collar by unsnapping it. As noted by others (and not by me prior to purchase, unfortunately), this collar will not hold the adjustment. As soon as I put it on her, it would start to lengthen. Not noticeable until the poor girl had herself caught on the chain part. Regardless of anything else, this is an epic fail. This would only be safe if adjusted out to it's maximum length.

Slips ealily on/off my 24# King Charles Cavalier. He tugs like an Alaskan sled dog with a halter, so this trainer collar has been great to learn to walk on a leash. Not as bad as those others with spikes (which work but seem cruel to me). It tightens easily when he takes off when he shouldn't and loosens up quickly when walking properly at my side. Seems sturdy and well made. I consider this a very good purchase for training.

My dog went through a few collars with ease. I have a 70 lbs sheepadoodle and this collar has held up well for over a month already. Still looks as good as new and my dog does not mind it. Very happy with the purchase

Very stylish, simple but pretty. Doesn’t bother when just on my dog, she wears it as necklace more than collar, when using the leash with it, then it becomes collar as the chain design keeps the collar tight enough so doesn’t come undone.

May have given it a four or five star, but the size sent was too small, so double check the measuring and maybe take a size larger

It was easy to put on the dog, hangs loosely when he's not walking on a leash. As the human dog walker, I can adjust the tightness to cue my dog.
