Perfect Run Capicator for Pool pump
Worked great on my Super Hayward 1 HP pool pump. The original run capacitor is rated 50-400 uf. I read up a little and understood that original run capicator when burns out, makes a humming sound but impeller freely rotates when manually spun around. It may help others to know that you are good to go up a notch on microfarad but not down. I ordered the Upgraded Version 340-408 uf 110-125VAC BlueStar capicator. It was easy to install (I took one wire off at a time from old capacitor to make sure all three are similarly placed). BlueStar capacitor was perfectly sized. It seemed to have a better physical construct quality than the original. Btw I am not a super handy kind of guy but this was easy. Run capacitor is only two outside screws and one inside screw away on an Hayward super pump 1HP (gold). This cost me a little research and 13 bucks, replacement took me 10 minutes max —- saving me hundreds in service/ replacement costs! Few days in, it is going strong. Easy, fast reliable start. Would definitely recommend!!

Perfect fit and fixed my issue
Fixed the problem on my lift. Just be sure the number on your old one exactly matches the new one. And check measurements. Price was a fraction of the cost anywhere else! Other than that I am very pleased and back to lifting cars on the rack!

It was a perfect fit and exact replacement
The product was great but the packaging was not enough for pieces to break off in the envelope it was delivered in. We made it work, but it should be done with a box. Would have been 5 stars except for this.

Great Capacitor, but you might not need it!
Purchased it because my air compressor kept tripping a breaker when it tried to start. Thinking it was the start capacitor, I purchased and installed this one (along with a new run capacitor because I thought they were both old so I might as well replace them both.) I turned on the compressor and...tripped the breaker. I tightened all the wire connections thinking that might be the problem and...tripped the breaker. Out of frustration and the need to have the compressor working, I took it to an electric motor repair shop. They tested the new capacitor (it was perfect) and installed it. Ran perfect. After paying $142 to the shop (grrr) I took it home and plugged it in. Tripped the breaker. Took it to another outlet on a different circuit and plugged it in. It started and ran perfectly. That's when it dawned on me that the problem was likely a faulty breaker. Switched out the breaker and flipped on the compressor. You guessed it, it ran fine. The moral of my $142 story is don't be dumb like me. Test your "bad" capacitor if you have that capability (I didn't). On the bright side, I have new start and run capacitors. :-)
