Doesn’t work
I purchased this bird deterrent and followed the product directions. I can smell it when I step outside so I know it is emitting an odor. It does not deter the birds. I still have the same problem as before using this product. Don’t waste your money

EXCELLENT SUCCESS!!
WORKS GREAT!! A MUST IF YOU HAVE A PERGOLA! Given the disparate range of success reported in existing reviews, I was hesitant to try this product at first. We tried it after weeks of bird droppings all over our patio furniture. This product showed immediate results and has effectively solved the problem. Birds love to perch on the protruding beams of the pergola, so it was a huge problem. No more. I will report back as the longevity of the cartridges. AAA+++, FIVE STARS for now! Trying it.
I’ve tried everything else. I’m not sure it’s working, but I am seeing less bird activity on my lawn furniture, so maybe … I’m hopeful.

Ineffective for Swallows
Device doesn't work - at least not on swallows. Within an hour of hanging up the device, we could smell the scent of grapes in the area so it was working properly and yet the swallows were perched on top of it trying to build a nest on the device, so clearly they don't mind it. Try something else if you're trying to deter swallows.
