Device doesn't work - at least not on swallows. Within an hour of hanging up the device, we could smell the scent of grapes in the area so it was working properly and yet the swallows were perched on top of it trying to build a nest on the device, so clearly they don't mind it. Try something else if you're trying to deter swallows.

WORKS GREAT!! A MUST IF YOU HAVE A PERGOLA! Given the disparate range of success reported in existing reviews, I was hesitant to try this product at first. We tried it after weeks of bird droppings all over our patio furniture. This product showed immediate results and has effectively solved the problem. Birds love to perch on the protruding beams of the pergola, so it was a huge problem. No more. I will report back as the longevity of the cartridges. AAA+++, FIVE STARS for now! Doesn't work at all have it in a car port, 30x40 open on both ends, still have many birds in there and nest with babies., Calling it a loss. (Tossed out bx and extra pices. )

I am so thrilled that I found this product! Tons of common barn birds moved in and were pooping all over my barn. I tried bird gel, reflective strips, a decoy owl and bird spikes to deter the birds - nothing worked. I bought this as a last ditch effort and HALLELUJAH! IT WORKED! No more birds nesting in my barn!!

So far so good. The pigeons are staying on the periphery of my outdoor patio, maybe about 10 feet from the device. Some doves will still walk by, but they do not stick around. However I am seeing less and less of them hanging around daily. It’s been wonderful not having to clean pigeon poop off the tables and chairs everyday! Will see how long it lasts, but here is hoping! Does smell like grapes, but doesn’t bother anyone, everyone just thinks it’s some new air freshener.

If you want to attract swallows and fruit fly, this product is for you! If you like spending over $30 a piece for a grape scented outdoor air freshener, buy it! But as for what it's supposed to do, fail fail fail! I just lit a match to $120, feels awesome...

I think the bird is taunting me. Doesn’t work! Will be returning!

They have worked so far in keeping the birds out of my shop without hurting the birds themselves.

Unfortunately did not work. Our patio looks like it has been bombed by an army of birds. Great concept though.
