Dynamics: Theory and Application of Kane's Method

A masterpiece every mechanical designer should consult or review.
Absolutely the best treatment of 3D-Dynamics written, in my opinion. I am happy to see the fresh perspectives and edits, because I am applying these concepts.

Great resource for rigid body dynamics
Fyi, I'm taking copious notes in those margins so appreciate them as I come back to revisit the "why did they do that?"Only three chapters in so far but heading in the right direction for my needs. Some additional clarification or foresight might help but mulling on it a bit usually answers that. Just keep reading....

Excellent Dynamics textbook.
Highly recommended to those involved with the dynamics of complex multi-body systems. Equations of motion are developed thru Kane's method, which in many cases leads to a more direct and efficient derivation. The text is very clearly and carefully written. The material is suitable to those who have had some prior knowledge of freshman/sophomore Dynamics. Indispensable for engineers working in aerospace, and multi-body control systems.

has some extra materials/topics/examples/problems-solutions and more through explanations that make me glad to have this
i have also Kane's book, ... although this book closely follows original Kane's book, has some extra materials/topics/examples/problems-solutions and more through explanations that make me glad to have this book

Very interesting new method in Dynamic
It is more or less like the original book with more examples.

Good book, but weirdly oversized
The book itself is good, explaining the material well and providing derivations not found in other dynamics textbooks. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the book is so large it's awkward to use, and it's completely unnecessary; the margins are about 1.5" to the spine, 1.25" on the top and bottom, and almost 2" (!) to the outer edge. The pages are about 8.5" x 11", so about 45% of every page is just margins. Hopefully they consider reducing the page size if they print a second edition.

Information
I have not read the book, I just want to make the readers aware of the following:There is a python library, called sympy.physics.mechanics, which uses Kane's ideas to symbolically establish the EOMs of arbitrarily complicated multi body systems.I have played around with this library for several years, it really works fine.
