The innards and rubber gasket and washer will need to be replaced before That will ever matter anyway.. Our first was at yr 10 ( i read innards bout 7 yrs, 5 w hard water) 🚽Got to augment my " everything " kit from them bought spring 2022... Great kit w some tools, and adjustable vs saw off tube.. etc.. HOWEVER , vs the old kit, it did not have the 3rd set of washers n nuts mine needs for under the tank ( i guess some now just go from tank to bowl then nut?).. ..and original nuts dont fit these bolts.. Ordred just bolts, but then saw this w gasket would come faster .. similar price.. 🍩 about the gasket.. aparently, my 2 yrs ago project w their other kit, i learned that my older toilet needed a diff gasket than theirs..otherwise i had a tiny dribble leak.. The ace one fits better ..bit firmer ( although i think even theirs aren't As firm as 2 yrs ago)...slightly higher n narrower cone.. 💁‍♀️ SO ULTIMATELY IM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS, NOT WORRIED BOUT THE BRASS THING..THESE BOLTS HAVE A LARGER HEAD THAN MY ORIGINAL ONES FOR MORE COVERAGE OF HOLE.. AS FAR AS THE GASKET, NO USE TO ME..AND NOT REALLY SURE WHY YOU WOULD NEED THAT ALONE,.. .....WHEN ITS PROB GONNA BE THE FLAPPER ASSEMBLY ( not just flapper bc hard water screws up where they meet too) or FILL TUBE THAT FAIL FIRST ..( OUR 3 TOILETS ..1 WAS FILL TUBE, THEN ALL 3 NEEDED ASSEMBLY.. ..SO TO BE HONEST, YOU MIGHT AS WELL CHANGE OUT ALL OF IT.. but you'll need more hardware if you have nuts tween tank n toilet so these worked for that.. I had a leak at the inlet water line to my toilet tank. The whole flush assembly was loose and the plastic lock washer broke off causing water to drip out of tank and run down my floor. I replaced the whole unit and bought a new flapper as well. A pair of channel locks and pliers along with a few towels and job was complete in an hour( I’m no plumber)! The directions were in English and easy to follow. Toilet has been smooth and running as it should.

Nice upgrade to the original bolts and seal, def buy again. Fit toilet perfectly, no missing parts, very durable. Can sit on my throne again without worrying about a leaky seal.

Did not fit my toilet. My home was built in 1980, for reference, and not sure what kind of toilets they are but just keep in mind this gasket isn't universal. It fits in diameter, but is too tall, not allowing tank to sit flush with bowl, thus it rocked back and forth. I still gave a 5 star just bc it's as advertised... Not the company's fault that my toilets are outdated and suck lol

Bolts are stainless, not brass. Large seal doesn't work on Jacuzzi toilet. Bolts and gaskets did work. No leaks so far, but I did have to get a different seal for the drain.

This kit has everything you need if your bolts have rusted out. However, take it from experience when removing the old bolts do not even tap on them with a hammer or a screwdriver. Just a very slight tap, put a hairline crack in the tank. I sealed it, however when I was putting in the new bolts, they completely fell apart along the crack other than that it would be a real cheap fix to a common problem. Nevertheless, I had to buy a whole new toilet lesson learned. PS the reason why I went with this replacement kit was because my tank was leaking along where the bolts were because they had rusted and the headset fell off of the bolts but yet the bolts were still stuck slightly inside the tank. I’ll know better next time in 20 years.

We had a drip and upon inspection realized the tank could be rocked and then saw that the tank bolts in our 22-year-old toilet were disintegrated! Took the tank off, cleaned it outside with the hose and an old scrub brush, seated the new gasket-may as well change it all out while we're there, right?-put the new bolts in place, put it all back together and were so proud and then the drip was still there! Emptyed the water back out with a flush, gave everything a further tightening and this time-success! $15 worth of parts and the problem is solved. Not rocket science, easy job to do, took less than 10 minutes if you don't count carrying the tank outside to the backyard to clean up. I don't reccomend doing that but I do always recommend repairing over replacing!
