I recently cut about 16 inches off my hair, into a "mature bob"--and these barrettes are the perfect solution to feeling middle-aged. They are ADORABLE--very trendy, and definitely well made!One thing I always do, and actually recommend it to anyone who gets barrettes and costume jewelry that's gold and silver plated, is this:I buy a special spray-on lacquer that's designed especially to prevent tarnishing of metal finishes. The one I buy is specially formulated for brass, but can be used on any metal.I handle the pieces as little as possible, or use gloves when handling them. Before applying the spray, I go over each piece with a lint-free cloth dipped in 91% alcohol. This gets all the impurities and oils off the pieces and dried quickly.I then carefully lay out the pieces on a piece of cardboard and spray them well with the lacquer. After the one side dries, I turn each piece over and spray the other side. Because the lacquer I use is quick-drying, I can do this entire process in less than 30 minutes, usually.I have pieces of costume jewelry that, six years later, look brand new because I do this. It's also perfect for metal hair accessories. I did so with these and, six months later, every piece looks brand new.

First off, let me just say that I wasn’t expecting a lot from this because of the price. I didn’t think that these would be a family heirloom to pass down for generations, but I was still disappointed by the quality (or should I say lack there of.) the circle clips with the “pearls” were bent and slightly concave and the material is cheap enough I was able to bend them back into mostly a circle , but there is a slightly uneven shape to them now that I haven’t been able to correct. The pearls also have a grayish tint to them which somehow clashes with both the silver AND the rose gold clips.Also, the smallest silver feather has almost no definition to it, it’s very cheap looking.However, I still think most of the pieces are cute, and as I said, I got what I paid for...

Very cute!! Very nice hair clips or barrettes, smaller than other people mentioned, I think, just the right size that I was looking for. They are a bit shinny but still beautiful.I am sure that with time they'be less shiny, but it does not bother me. So far the hold up good my hair, and the clip part seems good quality, which is more important to me. Most of the leaves ones are shinny gold or silver color and the nicest ones look like aged or old gold. If anyone is interested on their size: the pearl clips or barrettes are between 1.5'' and 2 inches long. The beautiful leaves shape ones are 2 inch clip and 3.5'' total length of barrette or 1.5 inch and 3'' total length. The moon and also the triangle ones are 2''. The starfish is 3'' on the longest side. The price is great for so many of them.

I really like the variety of these cute clips. The only thing that might be a problem is the size of the actual hair clip differs. As you can see in the picture some are small and some are larger. The smaller ones can only hold a bit of hair so if you have thick or curly hair take that into consideration.I would still buy these again!

These clips are really cute, but I have really thick hair that doesn't really fit in these clips. I can only put a tiny amount of hair in, and it typically slides right out of my hair so I have to put bobby pins underneath to prevent it from sliding out. If you have thin hair this is perfect for you, but my fellow thick hair people be prepared for lots of bobby pins

love how many different options there are and with colors! I have thick hair so this clip was great for me. So far all but one clip has held up great. I am pretty bummed about my silver starfish already breaking after only wearing it twice. :/
