Q: How long on average does each piece of wood burn?

Hi There...How long does each piece burn? Well, its hard to say maple and cherry burn faster and hotter because they are a lighter wood. Hickory will burn the longest because its a heavier, denser wood. Red oak, white oak, post oak and pecan are in the middle. Also we try to include a variety of thickness in the box some starter pieces and some thicker pieces so the thicker pieces will obviously burn longer. Also the length of the burn depends on how big the fire is, so its just really hard to give a definite answer when there are so many factors. On this listing we are selling 8inch mini logs and 16inch lengths and the latter will burn longer.

Q: This might be weird but I’m buying these for my rabbit to chew on. They aren’t treated right? Just plain wood?

Hey there...no chemicals have been used. We kiln dry the wood in something like a large oven which kills off anything that might have ever been on the wood.
