Q: Hi. odd question- i was suggested ppi. i am a mortician and need to cover my finger tattoos. will this pallete suffice?

Absolutely. I LOVE this product. I work in a dozen different theatres and have to cover tattoos on my actors all the time. I apply it with a stipple sponge so I can layer colors and blend it in with their natural skin tone. Be warned though, if you apply too many layers it can produce a crackled effect. so just put enough on to cover the tattoo. It's waterproof and won't rub off on any dress clothes you may be required to wear for your job. I use 99% Isopropyl Alcohol as my activator for it and it works great.

Q: How long will this last until it runs out?

It will depend on how much paint used for each application (painting veins takes so little paint, lite amount makes it look like it's part of the flesh), so these can last years. My teacher told me he still had his original he purchased 15 years ago. Only one of the wells was low but still had paint in it.

Q: Is this paint water activated or alcohol activated?

This palette is alcohol activated.

Q: Does it test on animals?
