Can this device be used on the buttocks?

yes, it can be used on the buttocks

Can it be used on back?

Is too curvy for any other place rather than the legs

Is this for the bottom of the leg & ankle or just the top of the leg

I think it depends on the size of your ankle/leg. I could do my thighs and upper arms although the arms are more difficult because you’re holding on to the massager with only one hand. Word of caution—-just as the instructions say, don’t get overzealous, especially on the upper arms as they are more tender. You can easily get very sore.
