Q: I notice in the video that the ladder seems to be just ropes and rungs. Is there anything there to keep it stable against the house? It looks like it could scratch up the house.

It actually has strapping and aluminum steps and no rope.The weight of person on ladder keeps things tight.the rungs have little stops to push away from house..Honestly getting my loved one out safe is more important to me than scratching the side of the house.
