Easy install
As someone who loves to use smart home devices, I was really excited to try out the Philips Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2. I have to say, I was really impressed by this device. The switch is very easy to install - it took me less than 5 minutes to set it up and get it connected to my Hue lights. One of the best things about the Philips Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2 is that it's incredibly versatile. You can use it to control one light, or multiple lights at once. You can also customise the buttons to do different things - for example, I set one of the buttons to turn on a specific light at a certain brightness, and another button to turn on a different light at a different brightness. The switch itself is really well-designed. It's small and compact, so it doesn't take up too much space on your wall, and it has a very sleek and modern look. The buttons are responsive and easy to press, and the dimming feature is smooth and seamless. One thing to keep in mind is that you do need a Philips Hue Bridge in order to use the Philips Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2. However, if you already have other Hue products, you probably already have a bridge, so this won't be an issue. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Philips Hue Smart Wireless Dimmer Switch V2 to anyone looking for an easy way to control their Hue lights. It's versatile, well-designed, and incredibly convenient to use.

Just works
A great addition to a philips hue ecosystem. Quite easy to link up to the hue bridge (required) and to the hue app so that others can control the lights without needing the app. It has all the features you could want, with easy dimming and brightening controls, and also a hue button that allows you to cycle through scenes (set up on the app). It is also detachable from the wall mounting plate so that you can use it anywhere in the house. Just works, and is faster than using the app if you dont have a voice assistant. The sticky back to attach it to a surface is very very sticky, as in once you attach it, it might be a little hard to remove.

Good quality at reasonable price.
I bought this after buying the hue starter kit and had issues again with QR codes not scanning or just not being there... but again the alternative method for pairing worked just fine so not really an issue. Once the remote was paired it worked perfectly and the lights change immediately on button presses. The customisation options of each button via the hue app is really handy and allows you to set the remote up to do what you want. The pre configured settings out the box are pretty good already so didn't actually change anything but just having that option is really nice! Simplifies use for those in your household who dont want to have to download apps or find their phones to control things or for later at night when you don't want to wake people up with voice assistants. The remote itself is magnetic so can be stuck to anything metal which makes it really handy. The magnet is fairly strong and can easily hold its own weight without sliding about. The holder it comes with comes with some 3M sticky tape attached or can be mounted with screws for a more permanent fixture. For the price this is a no brainer. Quality product that integrates in to your bridge setup at a very reasonable price. I'll 100% be picking a few more of these up in the future!

Works well with Hue and can also control others via Alexa routines
I bought this to control Hue light bars and a Hue bulb in my home office. I also wanted it to control my Govee lamp which I have had some success with. The 4 buttons & dial can be configured to control individual bulbs, rooms or zones and has several options available. On a single press you can get it to cycle through different scenes, select a single scene, have a time-based scene selection (e.g. a different scene in the morning), or switch lights off. Long press can be configured to switch lights off too. There is also a smart on/off function whereby a short press will cycle through scenes, but if you leave it for 3 seconds the next short press will switch the light off instead. It comes with a backing place to stick on the wall, however I have mine directly attached to the leg of a Secretlab desk. This works really well and the magnet is strong enough to hold it firm while using the dimmer dial. The black colour looks great on the desk too as it doesn't stand out. You can control non-Hue products to a degree but it is limited. You can do this via a routine on Alexa as the single button presses are exposed as events. It's not great though as one button can be used to turn on a Govee light (for example) but then you can't switch it off with the same button. Long presses are not sent over to Alexa as a separate event. Note that whilst it appeared in Alexa as a device I had trouble getting the events to fire, in the end I had to de-link and re-link the Hue skill. After that it worked fine and it is turning on my Govee lamp. The Alexa routine will be fired regardless of what else you have set up on the button in the Hue app. Overall glad I got it, looks great and is easy to use. It is too expensive though in my opinion, I managed to get it for £31.99 before it shot back up to £40+. Even the price I paid is a bit too much for a switch.

Great addition to a HUE bulb.
Great addition to a smart home. Initially bought just to be able to wirelessly turn my sitting room smart bulb on and off, but has now been programmed with some different brightness's and colours. Functionally it is great, and once you get used to using short and long presses, it becomes almost intuitive. For having magnets in it, it is quite light, there is another version that fits over the existing light switch, but this one is fit to the wall next to the existing one nicely. Connecting it to our home hub was nice and quick as it connected and was recognised right away.
