I ordered this even after reading the negative reviews. Each piece will be different - that's the attraction to this piece. This one's background is well covered with the split wood scraps - minimal black shows through the gaps. The fact that the scraps are slightly different lengths add to the 3D artistry. I couldn't be happier.The box arrived looking like it'd been drug backwards through a picket fence, but the internal box packaging handled it's obvious rough trip with ease.The weight is easily supported with 2 wall anchors, available anywhere for a buck or 2. There are hangers installed on 3 of the 4 corners for some reason? I used 2 small anchors (3/16" pilot hole) and it went up in a couple of minutes. Dunno who had the idea to frame a few pieces of trash and sell it as art, but it was an awesome decision and I'm glad I have it on my wall.

I purchased three of these to hang as a set. While they are beautiful the quality is not the greatest. The frames are barely attached on two and not attached at all on one. All three have pieces of wood that are not secured and randomly fall out. I to keep glueing them back in as this keeps happening. They hang strangely on the wall as a result of the frames not being attached.

So imagine a black piece of wood that is flat, now put a wood frame around it and add wood chunks through the whole design and this is basically what you get.The aesthetic is for specific areas, it will work well in some. I found the perfect place for it and I'm really happy with the results.Overall I'm excited about this design in my home as it was easy to hang and is great to look at.

Frame falls off, wood pieces fall off.. terrible

Despite my negative sounding title, I did still rate this 4 stars because yes, it's a cool piece of wall art that fits my rustic mountain decor really well. My problem with it is....it's not a $45 piece of work even factoring in how the price of wood has gone up. It's just a bunch of scrap pieces glued onto a black wood backing with no extra care put into it. The frame has higher quality craftsmanship put into it than the actual display wood itself. I love raw wood and I love rustic stuff but I just feel this doesn't merit the high pricetag when I could walk out to my woodpile and achieve the same thing in a few minutes with little to no experience or money.There are a lot of gaps between the pieces and while this is part of the art, the gaps are too much. You can see the glue between the wood. It's more of a decent looking school project. Drop the price and I would rate this higher.

It's a very nice picture; just came apart during transition and had to be clued back to the frame. Other than that it works well with my decor.
