Shasta Dam: A History of Construction, 1938-1945

We have a boat at a marina at Shasta Lake, Northern California. With the extreme drought, the water levels in the lake are excessively low. Our marina is very close to the dam. With the water so low, we are able to view the dam differently. Things like tunnels are being exposed for the first time in many years. The tower that shows on the cover is greatly exposed and fascinating. I look at the dam now with different eyes. I so appreciate and respect the work done by so many dedicated people. It brings it all to life.
