for Humax RM-F01 Remote Control for Humax Foxsat HDR Freesat Box

This was bought to replace my old one and was exactly what I wanted - it worked straight away and easy to use - good value for money and very pleased with it

On time and worked perfectly

Lasted 2.5 years before the volume up button stopped working, so for the price I can't complain at that. Only used it to control the Humax box, so can't comment on how it controls other things like TV etc.

Excellent value and this remote actually works better than the original, which struggled with the poor signal strength. This sometimes resulted in failing to register my selections. The build quality seems almost identical to the original. It worked first time with no set-up required.

The packaging says "No setup required", biut that's not true. Initially, the power on button doesn't power on the PVR. So I used the original to do that. But no buttons will work. It exhibits different behaviour, on the origianl when you press a button, it blinks once. On this, the button repeats. And none of them work with the PVR anyway. No way to put it into setup mode as described in the original manual. Long press the PVR button and it just keeps repeating. It doesn't stay on as it's supposed to in setup mode. And what setup code would you use anyway?

As described. My old remote touchpad was worn and this replacement worked immediately. Very happy with purchase.

Prompt efficient service

The form factor, number of buttons and basic functionality of the remote is good, however, this device lacks the programmability of the original Foxsat remote control. The buttons at the top for TV, DVD and AUDIO cannot be programmed using the 3-digit codes in the back of the Foxsat manual to operate additional devices. Entering the codes does nothing. Those three buttons are effectively dummies. This remote will only work to operate the Foxsat device, which it does perfectly well, but it is NOT an exact replica of the original remote. If that's all you need, this is the remote for you, as it has all the particular quirky buttons as the original (like "opt+") but if you need to operate additional devices, like your TV, soundbar, etc, you'll need another remote in addition.
