Confining my shoulder
ANOTHER UPDATE: Just wanted to add one more thing. I've been using this now for a month so I'll let you know that this thing stretches out a lot. You'll have to read adjust it constantly. Annoying, but still helps, just is really a pain mow.that it's all stretched out. EMS OF NEW UPDATE: UPDATE: I am still benefitly greatly with this brace. I'm going to add one thing...DONT SLEEP WITH IT ON. I thought it would help, one day it felt so good I didn't put it on during the day. Big Mistate. Wrap around piece was up around my neck. The rest just twisted. END OF UPDATE..I'm currently recovering from knee replacement surgery and in the interim tore my rotator cuff. My shoulder needs a replacement, but I can't have that done until I'm released from knee PT. This brace is a lifesaver. Since I have a complete tear in my shoulder with a couple other ones along with a cyst, your arm dangling free makes the pain horrible by the end of the day. This sling / brace keeps your arm against your body and it also takes the pressure off the hanging of your arm. My size is a medium I'm 5'2 and about 185 lb.. I first ordered the large since I'm not exactly a small person... I don't know if it was mark wrong or not, but that thing was huge, and I mean huge. The medium is perfect. It's exactly what I needed. I'm looking at wearing it for at least another month or so before I get a full shoulder replacement. I recommend this highly. Regular slings don't do anything as far as stopping the hanging pressure of the shoulder and I love the free piece that goes around you, it can tighten and hold everything in place. Some people say they can't get it on by themselves, but after practicing a little bit I managed to figure out how to do it alone. Tricky little thing but practice makes perfect. Recommend.

Life Saver
I broke my shoulder Sunday night.lt was literally the most pain Iโve ever felt in my life, and I have two kids! Finally went to the ER Monday morning. X-rays confirmed the break. Sent home with a flimsy sling that did NOT support my broken bones. This thing was ridiculous. After two days of agony I found this. Got it today. Changing out of the hospital โslingโ into this one brought me to tears. Zero healing with that pos the ER sent me home in. It was horrible. And then I got this on. Holy smokes, this thing is freaking amazing. It does take some adjusting to get it just right, but having the ability to get it just right is pretty awesome. I donโt feel the bones shift at all. I havenโt taken anything for pain since I got it on. If you are one of the unlucky to have to go through this, DO NOT hesitate to get this. Sooner rather than later.

Goldilocks canโt find the right size
I was facing shoulder surgery and needed to give my arm a break. You use it more than you realize. This was perfect, comfortable, easy to wear even when I slept, and very soft. The reason I gave it only four stars is because of the sizing and the Velcro. I bought the medium one at first. Iโm 5โ2โ and medium framed. It was too long. The straps that wrapped around my back came all the way up onto themselves around my shoulders before I could attach them. I tried all kinds of configurations but knew they were too long. So I ordered the smaller one. The smaller one was much too small! I feel like Goldilocks. I couldnโt even get the piece that wraps around you around my chest to strap my arm in to keep it from moving. And the long straps that wrap around you? They were too short to adhere too. Iโm an average sized, short female, and this didnโt fit. I feel like the small is really and XS for very small framed women or children, and the medium is for models who are tall but thin. I can only imagine how the large fits. They need one more size inbetween S and M to fit the average woman. Also, while at first it worked great, over a month or so of random use, the Velcro definitely started to have issues sticking. This is probably to be expected, but if you get this product, try not to take it on and off too much or youโll wear it out. Iโm still very thankful for this sling, knowing it served its purpose, but I do wish there was one more size to choose from. I bought two and neither was right. Just be aware of which size you buy.

Nice for comfort but really check the size you buy.
The theory of this sling is just what I wanted. The problem is that the fabric is so soft{which was more comfortable) but, it was hard to get it to stay on. Maybe I needed a smaller size but I had had my surgery and wasn't able to return it. Good point is the double strap so not as much pull on my neck. The wide wrap strap was helpful keeping my arm from rotating outward. The strap definitely helped me keep ice packs on my shoulder.

Having shoulder surgery. money well spent
love this sling. it beats the heck out of the hospital sling they sent me home with. the picture shows strap across the mid section. i prefer the velcro to be on the front side as it makes it easier for you to put on and take off the sling. h one arm reaching behind you is not easy. it helps with sleeping, the shoulder cant drop and the straps are crossed in the back and having 2 staps distribute the weight so you dont feel like it is cutting into my shoulder. The material is soft and not scratchie, and if you are by youself the straps are long enough to be albe to put it on by yourself, strecommend you have someone help you. i still like to use a small pillow on the couch as it helps to support weight of your shoulders. and you are comfotabel,

Fractured shoulder? GET THIS!
4 weeks ago i tripped with hands full and fractured my shoulder in 2 places with slight displacement. It took 6 days in the hospital to get the pain under control. I was sent home with a lightweight sling that did nothing to immobilize my shoulder which meant every movement had me in tears, and i had to use my left hand to hold the bad arm still. i immediately started researching slings and found this. right away i got relief and have steadily been getting better and sleeping through the night was much more comfortable. This sling is padded which is very nice! i have washed it in my washer and dried it in the dryer with no issues! DONT throw away the hospital one. I use mine when showering so i dont have to hold my arm in place and can have a hand to wash with.

Great alternative to what they give you at the hospital
I am two weeks out from rotator cuff surgery, with four weeks left in a sling and like many I was pretty sick of the hospital issued sling after a few days. It was especially uncomfortable to relax or sleep in so I looked for a better option and this sling is it. Pros: SUPER comfortable - it's night and day how much nicer this is to relax and sleep in. VERY stabilizing - my arm feels MUCH more secure and the design of this sling allows you to really tighten it down comfortably to be very secure. Distributes weight better - I have been walking 3-4 miles a day this week and the traditional sling that just goes over one shoulder gets really uncomfortable because my one shoulder bears all the weight of the sling and my arm while I'm walking around. With this sling with straps over both arms, the weight is distributed better. If you want to get back to being active quickly, this sling will really help. Easy enough to get on and adjust alone - it took a couple of tries, but I can pretty easily get this on and off by myself if I need to. VERY easy to ajust. CONS: Front pouch positioning - the only real con for me is that the pouch and strap piece that goes on first is designed to hold your arm very centered in front of your body, as opposed to a traditional sling that allows your arm to me more at your side. This sling doesn't really adjust enough to allow your arm at your side, which is a little problematic when I'm working. I've been able to go back to work at a desk job and for working at a computer, I use my normal sling so I can have my arm at an angle that allows me to type. This con is really a small price to pay for the overall comfort and relief I have gotten. All in all, this is a great purchase, especially if you need to sleep in your sling or you want to be more active.

Great product for comfort
This is the most comfortable brace i have gotten, had reverse total shoulder surgery about 2 months ago, bought another brave was nice but hard to sleep in with the strap across one shoulder and pad attached, was doing ok than at around 2 month mark and doing physical therpy had gotten one stress fracture, 2 weeks later another one, had to go back to wearing brace again for a month, bought this one because it was for fractures and thought it would be more comfortable seeing i now have to wear a brace longer and to sleep in sleeping in the other braces was real uncomfortable and not stable enough to hold my arm in place, seeing the fractures are in the top of my shoulder, it did take me a bit and a little changing it to be able to wear it comfortably, the one down fall was the arm sling. It doesnt have enough support, so i took apart one other sling i had because it came apart completely anyway and used the arm sling inside this arm sling to give it more support and criss crossed the straps in back but secured them differently than the instructions, it holds much more securely and positioned the long body strap simular to photo but on a bit of a downward angle to hold arm sling and it not be able to slide down on the arm when lying down. The only reason i gave it a 4 star was because the arm sling portion needs more stability than just the material and 2 straps with me putting the other section of an old sling i had inside it made it a 10 star in comfort to me, i would buy again if i needed another and still do the same to make it more sturdy for my needs at least. Update: Ive been wearing this brace in differant ways to find most comfortable, what i like is that it can be alterted to strap it in differant ways, its been real comfortable to sleep in when u dont want shoulder to move at all, and during the day i use the arm sling by criss crissing it in back and bringing it under arms in front and fastening it in front and around in front instead of over underneith, and the long wide strap van be wrapped from one side of my shoulder, as a regular sling goes over around bsck of neck to front of arm sling to add more support and comfort during the day. Ive had 2 stress fractors in same shoulder as i had total shoulder replacement and needed to find something that could be worn cimfortably at night and during the day also without bulky straps making my neck hurt. This is amazing and highly recommend if you need to keep a brace on for long periods of time to heal.

The best sling/immobilizer
I had rotator cuff surgery 2 weeks ago and needed to buy a sling/ immobilizer. This one is great , works well by keeping my shoulder in place. It is soft and is made of thin foam like material. At first I needed help with putting it on and taking it off to do pendulum exercises but now I do it myself. I stick the Velcro end of straps to towel on towel rack in washroom , then wrap myself around that strap and use my good hand to strap myself in. Takes a little practice! I bought 2 so I can wash one while wearing the other. Great product!

excellent and much needed support after shoulder surgery
this sling was just what I needed after my shoulder surgery. The one given by the hospital was not supportive. This one really immobilized my shoulder, especially during sleep. It helped immensely with my recovery. I would highly recommend this sling to anyone looking to immobilize their shoulder after surgery
