This thing is great, I use it to let my family members know if I'm in a work meeting that I'd prefer they didn't interrupt. My son also likes to use it if he's in an online game that doesn't have the ability to pause so my wife knows when he is free between games to do chores, etc.Remote works great, sign is bright and a fun way for us to communicate we are busy.

So far, it's exactly as advertised. Bright and attention-getting, but not headache-inducing. It works from a nearby room. The remote does NOT have to be pointed at it. I was worried that you'd have to be in the same room like many infrared TV remotes. That would completely defeat the purpose for me. And I was pleased to find out that is not the case. So this must be an RF remote, not IR, which is what you would want in this case. The lighted sign is just the right size. I haven't tried it with batteries because that also seems to defeat the purpose. You can plug it into an old USB wall wart, which is nice. I have some of those that I don't use for my phone anymore because they're so slow. But they work fine for this! Bonus!

Mine only works when you plug it in. It doesn’t work with the other option.

Killed the first pair of AA batteries after being run for about 15minutes.Tossed an old portable usb power pack behind it and connected it to USB-C power and it's much brighter than the AAs ever had it. Doesn't seem to be killing that power pack quickly, either.Remote has great range - we're using it on a second floor balcony and triggering it from downstairs, about 25 feet away but within line of sight. It doesn't seem to matter if you point the remote directly at it, though.

The delivered was exactly what I was looking for. I can manually switch the light on/off or use the remote control. I plan on using this for Music Bingo and it will let the participants know when we are in an active round.

This is a nice, bright signal to others letting everyone know when you're busy or on a video call (for instance) while working from home. The remote seems oddly finicky in that I can't simply aim and point at it directly - I have to bounce the remote off a nearby wall to control the light and sometimes I have to search for different nearby surfaces before it will work. My biggest gripe is now quickly the batteries die. I bought rechargeable double A batteries for this and I'm finding I need to charge it every day after several hours of use. I originally used regular non rechargeable batteries but quickly found that it was eating through batteries very quickly. Fortunately, it has a USBC port for non battery power but you need to of course that limits where you can physically place this box. For instance- you might as well use the switch to control the box (don't need the remote) if it depends on the short cable for power. It features holes for mounting on a wall but I can't easily mount it on a wall while powering over USB, ya know?

This sign looks awesome.

If you have a blog or a podcast or you're a me time influencer like me (ok I'm not an influencer but I play one one these reviews) this is a must have. Just mount this on your door and keep the strays from interrupting your fun! Works great, looks like the read deal.
