10-pack Shiratak Rice

Absolutely delicious! As someone who has been honestly traumatized by konjac for years 😂, I had pretty much given up on it. I tried to force myself to eat konjac products in the past because of the low calories, but I could never get past the smell, taste, and especially the texture. I decided to give this konjac rice one last chance after learning that the preparation makes ALL the difference. Here’s what worked for me: rinse it VERY well, drain it thoroughly, then put it in a hot pan (with a bit of oil or even without oil) and cook it until all the excess moisture evaporates. I wait until the grains are really dry and actually start jumping/popping slightly in the pan, almost like tiny popcorn kernels. That’s when I know it’s ready. Then I season it well. I used soy sauce and teriyaki seasoning, then added my choice of meat. WOW. Completely different experience. No unpleasant smell, no weird watery texture...it was genuinely delicious. I wasn’t forcing myself to eat a 'diet food'... I actually enjoyed my meal. 10/10 for me. I’ll definitely be buying it again!

I tried this stuff for the first time tonight as a rice substitute. Prep was very easy. I emptied 2 bags into a mesh strainer, rinsed, and then placed in a bowl with a paper towel on the bottom to dry it off. I’ve heard that some brands can smell or taste weird but that wasn’t my experience with this at all. It has zero smell and zero taste. This stuff looks just like rice but the different is noticeable when you chew it. The texture is similar to soaked chia seeds or maybe the little pods of tapioca in tapioca pudding. Overall I really like it as a substitute and will buy again when these run out. There are no carbs and basically no calories so it makes reaching weight loss goals much easier.

Texture is different. I rinsed for 4-5 minutes under running water. Put in a skillet and let it dry in medium heat while stirring until dry, added a medley of veggies with a bit of Rao’s sauce. Stirred in some diced chicken breast and had me a stir fry. It was actually very, very good. Texture was better after mixing in with other ingredients. Very happy with this and it fits perfect with my low potassium and low sodium diet. Will order again.

I love these noodles because I'm diabetic I can eat tons of them and they don't do anything at all to my blood sugar however the rice is packaged in a plastic bag and no matter what you do you can't get all of the rice out of the bag and you always lose some of it in the sink when you rinse the product so while I love the flavor I probably will never buy it again because it's expensive and I don't like wasting my money when some of it goes into the sink

These are a bit pricey but taste amazing. I just drain the water, wash them and consume. There is no bad after taste or weird smell. This also keeps me full for hours. I will buy this product again!

The only similarity between this and rice is in the name. We were looking for a low carb alternative to rice. It doesn't taste like rice, cook like rice, or look like rice. Never again.

This is a great alternate for noodles....I looooooove them!!!

This is a great addition to my chicken soup.
