Easy Hot Water
I have two of this product. I have been using it for years. You can use the electric dispenser or manual pump. There is an option as to how hot you want the water to become. Just an observation: I had been using tap water for a long time, which I shouldn't have. Depending on where you live, the tap water chemical composition can differ. After a while, I noticed that the water in the receptacle was accumulating a small amount of white residue. I don't think this was related to the product; it was because of the tap water. I started using reverse osmosis water, and the issue went away; just a tip.

Works great
With this, I can have tea at any given moment, because it stays hot enough for my liking. No waiting for a kettle to boil or the microwave. This replaced my old one of another brand's discontinued model after 5 years, which happened to be refurbished. I hope this one will last at least as long; I'll update when it dies. It works well. Multiple temperature options; clear digital display. The push button did come in handy recently during a tornado in the area knocking out the power for a day. It's a bit of a pain to use it that way, but it's better than nothing. Keep in mind it won't maintain the temperature when the power is out. But if you're Orthodox Jewish, it would be a good feature on Shabbos/Shabbat.

Safety Concern: Interior Stained After Two Months
Hello, I purchased a NutriChef 3L Stainless Electric Hot Water Dispenser through Amazon and received it on April 30, 2026. I began using it in early May and have used it only under normal household conditions. After approximately two months of use, I discovered stains on the inside bottom of the dispenser. The product is advertised as having a stainless steel interior, so this level of deterioration after such a short period is unexpected and unacceptable. Because this appliance is used to heat and dispense drinking water, I am concerned that it may no longer be safe to use. I have attached photos clearly showing the stains inside the dispenser. I request that you send me a new replacement unit as soon as possible. If you require the defective unit to be returned, please provide a prepaid return shipping label and instructions. I should not be responsible for any return shipping costs for a product that appears to be defective. Additional follow up in July 2026: I purchased this product expecting a safe, reliable water dispenser. Unfortunately, my experience with both the product and the manufacturer's customer service has left me extremely disappointed. After using the dispenser, I discovered rust on the unit. Because this is a product intended for dispensing drinking water, I was immediately concerned about the presence of rust and its potential health implications if it came into contact with the water. I contacted the manufacturer and initially requested a replacement. My request was denied, with the company providing several different reasons, including the assertion that the rust was merely a cosmetic issue. None of the responses addressed my concerns about the condition of the dispenser or the potential health implications of rust in a product designed for drinking water. What disappointed me most was the manufacturer's handling of my concerns. Rather than investigating the issue or addressing my questions regarding the rust and its potential impact on customer health and safety, my concerns were repeatedly dismissed as cosmetic. I found this response unacceptable because I believe customers deserve a thorough investigation when they report rust inside or on a component associated with drinking water. This response significantly undermined my confidence in both the product and the company's commitment to customer safety. It was only after I submitted additional complaints and requested a full refund that the manufacturer offered a replacement. By that point, I had already lost confidence in the product and no longer believed that simply replacing the dispenser was an appropriate solution. I had given the company multiple opportunities to resolve the matter earlier, but my concerns were not taken seriously. I made every effort to resolve this matter amicably by requesting only a full refund, despite my concerns about the condition of the product and its potential health implications. I did not seek any additional compensation. Because I believe consumers should be informed about both product quality and customer service, I intend to report my experience to the appropriate consumer protection agencies, including the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and to share my experience through consumer review platforms and other public forums. Consumers deserve to know not only about product quality issues but also how manufacturers respond when legitimate safety concerns are raised. Based on my experience, I can no longer recommend this product or this manufacturer. The issue was not only the presence of rust, but also the manufacturer's repeated dismissal of my concerns regarding the condition of a drinking water dispenser and the potential health implications associated with rust. The company's unwillingness to meaningfully address those concerns or provide a fair resolution has left me with no confidence in either the product or the manufacturer's commitment to customer safety.

Power Saving Needs Improvement
Works as expected and is a great convenience but has room for improvement. The power saving mode uses a light sensor to know when to come out of power saving and heat the water. Good idea but useless if your kitchen is normally unlit. A better method would have been a simple on/off time setting OR if the kettle would rember the desired temperature after being powered off. (The default temp at power up is 185*f) To get around having the kettle stay hot over night or having to remember to push a button on it every night and have the water hot when I need to use it in the morning, I plugged the kettle into a smart outlet which turns off at night and then on 30min before I anticipate use so there is enough time for the kettle to boil then come back down to temp. 185*f is fine for me but if you like your water kept at a different temp this method will not work. One other nice to have thing would have been a light shining down at your cup next to the nozzle to help see inside your cup as it fills. Over all it's a nice kettle and I find it adds value to my daily routine. I knocked a star off for the power saving feature for the reason explained above.

So far impressed.
Growing up in Southeast Asia everybody seem to have one of these. It's a nice compact size and keeps water quite warm for a while even after turning off. Like that I can use the manual pump when it is off. The LED screen is nice and accurate. Design looks very modern and cool. It is very quiet too.

Better than my Zojirushi at half the price
I've had two Zojirushis, and each lasted well over a decade. We used our Zojirushis many times a day to make tea. I bought this item because replacing my Zojirushi would have cost way more than the price of this item. Only time will tell if this item will last as long as my Zojirushis did. This item's functions are much like my Zojirushi, with a few extra capabilities over my Zojirushi. This item is an edgy black and silver and therefore isn't nearly as pretty as my Zojirushi (which is white with pink sweet peas on it). You may like it just fine; I'll tolerate the lack of an aesthetically pleasing color scheme for its functionality. Things that are different from my Zojirushi: 1. Six temperature options instead of two: In degrees Fahrenheit, 113, 131, 149, 167, 185, and 203. For finicky tea lovers, those extra options are excellent. (The more expensive Zojirushis have more temperature options, too.) 2. The under-dispenser-spout cup lip activation. 3. The automatic shutoff if it runs out of water. 4. THE STAINLESS STEEL INTERIOR! I've always worried about the fact that my Zojirushi's interior is lined with Teflon. Ugh. 5. The LCD display that shows the temperature. Not necessary, but very cool. Much as I love anything made by Zojirushi, I'm happy with this purchase.

Water flow too fast.
Nice pot but the only reason I gave it a 3 star is because it would be nice to be able to control the "Flow" coming out the nozzle, It comes out too fast and hard that the hot water splashes out on the counter or burns your hand. Other than that it works great.

Does what it's supposed to do ie. it keeps water hot.
Let me preface by stating that these countertop water 'boilers' have clearly been around for a while and are a well establish niche product. I'd never heard of them before a buddy mentioned he had one and liked it a lot. I'm constantly boiling water throughout the day to make coffee or tea so the convenience appealed to me. I settled on the NutriChef mostly because of the unlined stainless steel tank as well the price seemed reasonable. I would have preferred the 4L version but for whatever reason there no ETA for it. And it turned out that the 3L version has been fine for our daily needs. As near as I can tell virtually all makes of these 'boilers' have similar if not the same essential controls and after getting used to them they are just fine. The only thing I would add is the ability to program in when to start heating each day, but the method employed -- essentially a countdown timer -- is fine. Otherwise with a full tank it comes up to 'boiling temperature' in about 15 minutes and then does an acceptable job of maintaining the set temperature -- in our case 185F -- until we tell it to cool down. This is not a complicated or sophisticated device. Power use: Over 12 or so hours this "always on" device uses about double the amount of electricity vs. employing an electric kettle to bring 0.5-1 liter of water to boil every time we wanted coffee or tea (which is generally 5-6 times a day). But that works out to only 3-4 cents so it's not a big deal. And the convenience of always having hot water at hand is really nice. The temperature of the housing is warmer than I was expecting, ranging from 80F-90F. But this is warm to the touch but not hot. Cooler would be better, of course, but adding enough insulation to make a significant difference would probably increase the size of the unit substantially. In short I like the NutriChef Boiler and do not hesitate to recommend it if you're in the market. It won't change your life neither is it a must-have kitchen appliance, but assuming you are regularly boiling water throughout the day then it's nice to have.
