Review: Do you have a saggy clothes line...? - I was placed in the relatively common position of having to replace my long standing outdoor clothes line. After much deliberation I made my choice. A pre-stretched, plastic coated, wire job. Perfect... or so I thought. Long story short, my new pre-stretched clothes line proceeded to stretch unmercifully. I needed a solution which did not involve constantly shortening the line manually. After some desertcart searching, I came upon these. Once fitted, the item allows any slack to be quickly, and conveniently wound into the device... thus keeping the line taught. It works very well. The item is well made, weather proof so far, and durable. Ten items came in the inexpensive pack, of which I have used two so far, on separate lines. A simple solution, but it works. 5 stars. Review: Well made. - Not used very often but when you need them these fit the bill. Well made and work very well and won't rust, what's not to like?. Good value for their usefulness. ## Features - Premium Material: The fence wire tensioners are made of galvanized steel material with smooth edges, which are wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, rust-resistant and durable for long time use. - Easy to Use: Simply place one at the end of each end of the wire rope, insert into the ratchet hole, tighten, and then twist to perfectly tighten and tighten the leash. - Convenient Design: These elastic ratchet turnbuckles and garfen wire tensioners allow support ropes to be tensioned between posts or on a fence with an ideal grip. - Wide range of applications: Ideal for tensioning wires for all common wire gauges, can be placed on pre-tensioned and shaggy wires. Well made and work very well and won't rust, what's not to like?. Good value for their usefulness. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Do the job. *by A***H on 1 May 2024* I bought them for an allotment fence and they seem to be doing the job at the moment. Although they are simple enough to use an instruction leaflet might help. Things to consider: The spindle is a one-way tightener. It is easy enough to figure out which way you need to feed the wire but it may be worth going through it in dry dock before trying it for real. Anyone's guess the best way to anchor these. There is a hole that means they could be screwed to a post but it is quite large and would require a suitably sized bolt or washer. I chose to anchor them using electrical cable round the post. Each wire could then be put in situ and initially tightened by hand before using the tensioner mechanism to finally put some real tension in. ## Frequently Bought Together - 10 Pcs Fence Wire Tensioners, Fencing Line Wire Tightener, 90mm Garden Wire Lock Fence Adjuster Cable Tensioner Ratchet Cable Rope Turnbuckle Wire Strainers for Rope Fixed Fence (silvery) - Easipet Tension Straining Wire, 100 Metre x 2.5mm, Pack 1 - Tolsen Fencing Pliers - Heavy Duty Fence Pliers with Wire Cutters, Nail Hammer & Staple Remover --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/462929303-10-pcs-fence-wire-tensioners-90mm-silver-garden-wire-tightener](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/462929303-10-pcs-fence-wire-tensioners-90mm-silver-garden-wire-tightener) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-05*
