tera's: Simply Pure/rBGH-Free Whey Protein, Bourbon Vanilla, 24 oz

I always have this in stock in my house. My husband and I both love it. It has a gentle vanilla taste and mixes much easier than a lot of other protein powders I have tried. The texture is smooth and not chalky at all. I also love the container it comes in. So many other proteins come in bags that are difficult to close.

Unlike many protein drink powders, the Tera's whey vanilla is delicious. The quality of the vanilla flavoring used is superior to other powdered products. It's great as both a smoothie additive and on its own with milk. It mixes easily. After months of trying - and discarding - other more well-known brands, I was pleased to discover Tera's. I never buy anything else.

This stuff tastes good, but the flavor is mild enough so you can add to it. Sometimes I add cinnamon powder, and sometimes I add PB2 powder. Both taste great. Also, I loved the clean ingredients and the macros on this.

Love this protein, minimal products, mixes well. Fair amount of protein to start my day.

I’m glad this protein powder worked out for me. It’s grass fed, has no funky ingredients and blends well in my yogurt and smoothies. I sometimes mix it with coconut water and it sorta tastes like milk 😋 I will continue buying this.

I've been enjoying Tera's Whey since 2017. It's the only whey protein I used because it tasted great, especially the bourbon vanilla flavor, and was very high quality which is why I was okay with paying the premium pricing. I thought the new package design was just that: a package design. Unfortunately, they changed the recipe too. Now it tastes pretty awful. I just returned the three containers I received because of how bad the new taste is. It tastes unnatural, whereas the old recipe tasted amazing. Time to find a new protein.

Tasty, high quality, great ingredients, a little pricey

Review based on the newer packaging that I received. (see my photos) I've been looking for a cleaner protein with fewer ingredients than most in the market. I started using this product a year or so ago. I've read some reviews that the previous packaged product was better than the current one (plastic container). I've had both and didn't notice a huge difference because I make smoothies with other ingredients. So far, this product works for me and balances out the protein I need. The taste is ok with a bit of chalkiness if not blended well, and the vanilla adds a nice sweetness and goes well with many recipes. I have yet to try cooking this protein or adding it to other foods. As a kidney patient, the cleaner ingredients and amount of protein help my nutrition needs. The lower sodium and phosphorous are big pluses. Not many nutrition facts include phosphorous; I'm grateful this company adds it to its label.
