Good overall, but be careful with it.
So I bought a 14' x 22' to use as a canopy. I built my frame out of 1" EMT. I was very concerned about it working as I only have a 12 degree pitch to work with. It ended up working well except for getting it taught at the bottom (fascia in my case). The 4 corners you can put some serious tension on, but the grommets tear very easily. I used ratchet straps to pull it tight and it tore at the grommets. Luckily, I sort of planned for this and ordered it slightly larger (about 9 inches) than I needed. I ended up using spray glue (3M 90 bonded exceptionally well to it) and gluing the tarp to two sides of a 2x6 (one face and one edge). I attached some tie down rings to the 2x6 and then used the ratchet straps again to get it tight. Once tight, I fastened the 2x6 to my frame with screws, then removed the ratchet straps.. I was able to pull it so tight that it actually bent my frame a little. The end result is a canopy that is so tight that it almost sounds like a drum when rain drops hit it. Kind of loud, but it was a trade off to make it work with the 12 degree pitch. Even at 12 degrees, its so tight that water just runs right off it. I'm sure the manufacturer doesn't expect installs to go like mine, but I'm very happy with it. Since there's no slack at all, wind isn't a problem either. There's no way I would have been able to make this work with just the 4 corners and the grommets.

Well made cover
The media could not be loaded. ย I purposely got the cover to go over the pergola and reach the house. My only regret was not purchasing the cables and screws. I wish the product came with it (for as expensive as it was). I had it up on the pergola for several months and extended it out during December to keep the area nearest the house free from inclement weather. It did withstand some pretty severe winds (kudos). If I had the cables and the correct screws it would have stayed up longer. I will have to buy the cables before I put it back up.

Very difficult to get a taut shade sail that sheds the rain....
We bought the waterproof shade sail in beige to cover a yoga area for a Yoga Retreat. We ran plastic covered metal cable around the perimeter through the grommets and left an loop on each corner the size of the D-ring so we could attach to both the D-ring and the cable at each corner and to help support the tension of this 21 X 24 ft shade sail. We had our handyman help with the instalation (as it takes a lot of strength to install) and there are a couple of things we learned. We waited until the shade sale was delivered to install our posts and even then we should have allowed more distance between the corners of the sail and the posts to allow for greater tensioning. We needed ratchet tensioners to get an adequate tension to shed the rain. We also needed guy wires to each of our posts. When the retreat was over we took it down to save it and before we re-install we will fill the metal posts with rebar and concrete to make them stronger. We also will hire a professional rigger to re-install it and learn how to do it properly. As DYI's we made it work and it looked great and it shed the rain but it was a tough job getting it taut and required some creative solutionsSunshade Depot did not send any installation instruction or information with the shade sail. One of the D-rings on one of the corner sprung open under tension (it must not have been properly shouldered closed) so we replaced with a cable. Also the "Super Heavy Duty" installation hardware bought separately on Amazon (also without instructions from Sunshade Depot)ย Sunshades Depot Square Rectangle Sun Shade Sail Steel Wire Advance Hardware kit Set 8 Inches Super Heavy Duty Installation Accessories Kit was useless and not nearly heavy duty enough... We would suggest buying your own hardware at your local hardware store.

Great sun protection without blocking light
We have bought 3 of these so far. Easy to install, offers protection from sun without darkening the space. Only negative is it lasts only 1-2 years here in California due to sun, wind and rain.

Lasted about three months... in San Diego.
We bought a pretty large one to cover most of our flat semi-open roofed pergola. Why? Because we've never seen the point of a structure that let's both sun and rain in. Since we were quoted $40K to replace the 2x4s placed every 3 1/2" "roof" we hoped this canvas awning laid over the top would do the trick. We didn't expect it to last forever but certainly hoped for more than three months! It was secured with stainless steel screws at each grommet and, to reduce billowing, had stainless cables stretch across the top every eight feet. Within a month it started to tear and two months later every seam failed with two 36 foot sections torn completely off.

Worth it, but could be better
First off, the price will keep me coming back and it does itโs job of keeping rain and sun from penetrating through. After my wife and I were quoted by three different awning places last year at a range of $2,500-$3,500 for a 12x17, we decided on an alternative. We were overall pretty happy with our purchase and the awning made it through the first year with minimal issues. This year however, I noticed the material is much more frail and easily ripped. We stored it over winter and after we put it up, about a week later we noticed little tears where all the securing rings are.For me, Iโll just purchase another one, but hopefully this one makes it through the summer. Spending around $275 every two years sounds way better than $3,500 and a yearly install and storage fee for about the same as this awning.A remedy to my problem with my awning would definitely be to add extra strength where the securing rings are. At the moment I am using heavy duty duct tape in these areas and it seems to hold up for now.

Works perfect on my patio
It seems resistant enough for strong winds, I tied up each ring to the wall and to the screen structure leaving a slope for the water to slide and tensed enough to be firm. I will purchase a second piece for the other side.

Great quality
This is our second tarp from this company in the last couple years! We love the quality of their products! Our first tarp lasted a good couple year through very high winds and extreme heat before we had to eventually replace and with other tarps we would have to replace every few months
