Solgar Gentle Iron 25mg, 90 Vegetable Capsules - Gentle on Stomach

This is one of my favorite supplements as a woman who still gets her cycle. Along with a methyl B-12. I suggest and personally take this NON CONSTIPATING & EASILY DIGESTIBLE IRON with a well rounded breakfast and then the methyl b12 later in the day. When I'm on my cycle, I'll do up to 5,000mcg (5mg) of b12 for the anemia. It's such a gargantuan help!

Not sure if they are helping yet with my anemia but they don’t bother my stomach and I have a sensitive stomach so that’s saying something. Not sure about the constipation issue, sometimes I feel constipated while taking these and then other days I’m fine. So the jury is out on that one. The price is reasonable and it’s made with quality ingredients so there’s that.

I have been suffering from fibroids for some time and recently had to have a hysterectomy due my large fibroids since they were causing me to become extremely anemic. Even though, I had built up my hemoglobin levels in order to have surgery; I lost a lot of blood during the surgery and wound up anemic again. A normal healthy woman is supposed to have a hemoglobin level between 12-16 and after surgery mine fell to a 7.1. I was told to eat iron rich foods and in time my hemoglobin levels would rise but I just felt awful that first week that I was home due mostly to the anemia because I would get out of breath easily with exertion and my face looked sallow (brownish yellowish color) and I was extremely tired. I knew I had to take action and ordered Solgar's gentle iron. Unlike, the ferrous sulfate form of iron; iron biglycinate is not constipating at all. And did not cause digestion problems like even ferrous gluconate (like Fergon) can also cause. I went to my OBGYN today to follow up after my surgery and they did a hemoglobin check and mine was 12.6. And they were blown away that I had gotten my numbers up so quickly and how healthy that I looked. I no longer need to take an iron supplement because just eating a healthy diet with iron rich food will maintain and enrich my hemoglobin levels and I would not want to get "iron overload" from having too much iron in my blood since I no longer need to have my levels checked because too much iron can lead to cancer.

I usually don't give written reviews but thought it could help somebody trying to decide. I have been feeling very weak and sluggish lately and was waiting in anticipation. (I'm taking a multivitamin every 1-2 days that does have a very low (5mg or something like that). I'm so happy to finally get this Gentle iron by Solgar. I have used this brand in the past and have been satisfied with it. I took it as soon as I got it last week and what a huge difference it made! I'm very sensitive to meds so I could feel the positive effects within hours after taking it. Although it's gentle on the stomach, I decided to be taking it every other day to give my body time to process it. My rating is because I just started it a week ago. Overall, I think its worth the purchase.

This product helps keep my hemoglobin levels within the normal range without causing stomach discomfort, nausea, or bloating.

Love it. I’ve been using it for (mostly) a month and it doesn’t mess with my stomach at all. No issues. My ferritin was was at 36 so I started this with vitamin c to hopefully raise it. I will update next time I get my ferritin tested!

I started taking an iron supplement for hair loss/fallout postpartum. I was able to take these with no problems to my gut and I have a very sensitive stomach. So far I have noticed a lot less shedding in the shower and hopeful that I will start to see new hair growth coming in.

Muy buen suplemento de hierro. Al ser bisglicinato, se nota que es más suave: nada de molestias digestivas ni estreñimiento, algo que se agradece mucho. Las cápsulas son fáciles de tomar y la calidad de la marca transmite confianza. Con el uso constante se va notando más energía.

Llevo consumiendo esta marca de hierro desde hace más de medio año y realmente noto cambios. Antes me daban mareos por tener el hierro bajo, ya no sufro esos mareos y me noto con mucha energía. Es apto para personas con estómago sensible.

Compré estás cápsulas de hierro ya que había perdido peso y mi cabello y uñas estaban muy frágiles , dejándome llevar por diversas opiniones de falta de hierro o anemia y sin haber ""consultado a un médico ""para analíticas y cerciorarme si realmente era este mi problema o causa de perdida de peso y cabello y debilidad pedi estás cápsulas de hierro y ciertamente los primeros días si note más fuerza en mis uñas y menos caída de cabello pero como así también comencé a sentir extraños calambres en mi cuerpo cada vez se iban intensificando asique decidí dejar de tomarlas y al tiempo desaparecieron esos síntomas un mes después de dejarlas me realice los análisis pertinentes y no tenía falta de hierro asique quiero dejar mi opinión y experiencia pienso que sí es efectivo para quien realmente lo necesite .

These are without doubt gentler than most but I still get stomach trouble using them, where with Spatone I don’t at all. They’re better than most but not the best.
