This light comes with everything you need to get started. It does slightly bend in the middle since it’s a long bar, but it hasn’t caused any issues for me. I run a 55-gallon tank (23-inch depth) with tons of plants, and this light does a great job reaching the bottom while promoting plant growth. The dedicated blue light feature is awesome — it lets you see all your fish and plants clearly without disturbing the light cycle. Easy to use, and the timer/auto on-off feature is convenient for consistent lighting. I would definitely recommend this to anyone new or semi-new to planted tanks. It’s reliable, effective, and great for encouraging healthy plant growth.

I decided to bring my 4 goldfish in for winter since my small pond is too shallow for them to survive. At the moment I’m using a screen cover to take advantage of the added humidity from the tank, using submersible filtration, and an air pump with a large circular air stone. The light sits on top of the screen cover. There are 10 brightness settings on the blue light, I keep it dimmest for night. There are 10 brightness settings for the spectrum lighting, which I gradually bring up to brightest over the course of an hour. I haven’t used the timer feature but it seems quite easy. Now the fun part is, I know how well led grow lights work. Over the course of a month, this light has caused pieces of root from my pond water lily to sprout in the tank. I’m imagining I’ll need to drop the water level to accommodate the blooms soon. Water lilies, in a ten gallon tank? Should be cool. This light is low profile, has an adjustable stand, and gives little to no heat. I’m very happy with the quality, and the price was very good. All the stars for this product, I would purchase again, and recommend it to others. Eventually I’ll use it on a much larger tank for tropicals and plan to buy another just in case they become unavailable in the future.

Pros: - good hardware quality and look - great lighting spectrum quality - It is pretty resilient to general wear and tear Cons: - I have found that after a while I will need to reset the timer because it gradually starts turning on later and later and or stays on for shorter and shorter time periods until it stops turning on all together and I'm force to reset it. - wish it an 8 hr setting

I love how you can change the amount of brightness. The timer is useful too. It’s nice to use for if you have a tank that’s on a shelf that doesn’t have the space for a taller clip on light.

Bought this for a new 29 gallon tank. It works well. The light is BRIGHT if you do not turn it down. I taped the sliders so that they do not extend too far and fall in the tank. If I have any complaint it is that the timer does not know what time it is. If I want it to light from noon to 10PM I have to be there at noon and set the 10 hour button. Then it will go on for ever. The newer model has a real clock timer but is much more expensive. For the price it is great. This thing is WAY better than the fluorescent lights we used in the old days.

I recently decided to switch tanks from a 90l to a 300l so was in desperate need of a light that was large enough while also providing adequate light for my plants. So when I stumbled upon this I thought it looked like great quality and decided to give it a go. •The light seems to be made of decent quality and provides a wide variety of light options ie intensity of light, color spectrum, and 24 hour timers. •The remote attached to the light is simple and straight forward while giving you exactly what you need. •Extremely easy to use but the instructions provided can help with any confusion. •I have managed to drip some water on the light unit and there has been no issues so it seems to be waterproof to that extent. •My plants look lovely and green under the light but time will tell on if it is sufficient for growth or not. Overall, I’d say this light is functional, easy to use, and worth the price. Time will tell on how well it holds up over time.
