The Greatest Adventure Stories from the Bible: The Easter Story

I love this video. It is a nice way to tell the story to children. I recommend explaining the story the way it begins. I show this video to 3rd graders and they seem to understand it. I am so happy that I could get the DVD because I had the VHS tape first.

Great TV series following major Bible stories. There are only 5 episodes released to DVD, you can find the rest in a 4-pack set. No liberal agenda or stretching of the story to change its message, just the Bible story as it was told in the book. There were a total of 13 episodes in the series, you can find the rest on digital services - Prime video had them all, and youtube has some too last I checked.

I love this series. Watched them as a child. Wish they would come out with the entire collection.

This movie presentation of the Easter story of Jesus was a bit shallow, and honestly I was pretty disappointed that it wasn't as spiritual as I had hoped it would be. It was more historical in scope and feeling, and I swear one of the character's voices is straight from Scooby Doo...the animation is similar in kind, too. It's not violent--my 4 year-old watches it just fine, but I was hoping for more of an emotional effect. The "Jesus" they presented in the story lacked depth and wasn't really that likeable or even developed as a character. I'm still searching for a good cartoon version of this story, basically.

It is well made at a technical level, but it's so weird. It shows an apostle Mark who didn't seem older than 35-40 and yet he says the resurrection of Christ happened 35 years ago (it's just a continuity mistake from the character animators, but weir nonetheless).Besides, it's not the same Jesus (as in the same character model) from the episode "miracles of Jesus", and the script itself is too catholic (it calls Peter "Saint" Peter). The animated Passion trilogy from Nest Family Entertainment is way better in every way, from animation to music.And yet, is this one of the episodes they released on DVD when almost the whole series isn't avaiable? What about "The Nativity"? "Samson and Delilah"? "Daniel"? "Joseph and his brothers"? "The creation"? I don't get why isn't the complete series on DVD.However, it has a spanish audio. That's always a plus.

I liked that it used the Bible as the script. I'm kind of tired of vegetables and animals representing scriptural characters. This is the real thing.

I believe that this movie was a great example for people to learn never to betray the greatest king of all time for anything in the world.

この、Greatest　Adventures　of　the　Bible　というアメリカの古いアニメシリーズは、ユーチューブで見つけて気に入り、DVDを探してみると　アメリカのアマゾンで扱いがありました。アメリカから買わないとだめ？と思っていたところ、日本のアマゾンでも買えるのを発見し、便利〜！と思い購入いたしました。商品説明には、リージョン１　とありますが、日本製のパソコンで普通に再生でき、最後に、日本語で　著作権における注意がテロップされたのを見て驚きました。これはアメリカのオリジナルではなく、オリジナルを元に、日本のどこかの業者さんが　リージョン変更したものなのでしょうか？現代の少年少女が、タイムスリップして聖書の登場人物と交流するという設定は、とても面白いと思いました。この　The　Easter　Story　の回では、執筆中の福音記者マルコに会って　話を聞く　というストーリーになっています。音声選択は　英語とスペイン語　字幕選択は　英語とスペイン語とフランス語です。

exactly what i thought it was and only wish there were more bible stories that could have been purchased on dvd
