Moeller Marine Products Livewell

This livewell is perfect. I purchased the 40 gallon tank. Two small complaints:1. It would be nice if the drain hole wasn't predrilled that way we could decide where we want it. It is on the side and very close to the bottom. It was a bit of a challenge to get hardware installed to pipe it through my floor. I would prefer it on the bottom of the tank as I'm sure most fishermen would.2. The lid doesn't exactly line up for easy installation of hardware to attach it. It's a bit shorter than where it sits in the closed position so I had to rig it a little for the hinges to lay flat.Other than those two very small things, this oval shaped tank is perfect for what I need. The material is very durable. The only hardware that comes with it is to attach it to your boat and a small plug for the predrilled drain. The plug does fit once you figure out how to use it... It took me a minute to figure it out. I'll add pictures of I can figure out how to do it.

The media could not be loaded. The 26 gallon is great size, can’t wait to load it up with bait and go fishing.

Well built but had to add some hinges to lid so wouldn't blow off and some 1/4in whether striping to level lid and keep water from splashing out i ordered i beleave 29gal ? Round very happy with it . has a drain plug on the side close to the bottom and was included

I’m sure the live well will work great… I’m in the process of ordering the mounting brackets and drain plugs which did not come with the live well…These items were listed on the box as part of the well…It’s my opinion that this live well is over priced due to the fact that I have to now purchase all hardware, drain plugs, aerator etc…I would not recommend this to anyone!Thank you,Ted Brown

If you check out all of the reviews on Moeller livewells, you'll see that everyone comments on the lack of hinges & latches on the lid. I have the same complaint. There's no way that you're not going to lose the lid while towing or cruising the boat, PERIOD. You'll also see complaints about the plug. Mine was in pieces at the bottom of the box. Same for the mounting hardware...Mine was missing too. I'm pretty handy so I was prepared for these issues even before I ordered the livewell. On the upside, the livewell itself will probably last forever, it's that sturdy. I also had to design/plumb the pump because Moeller doesn't seem to offer anything. My biggest disappointment is that there are literally hundreds of identical complaints regarding the hinge, latch & plug issues that Moeller has to be aware of and I guess they just don't G.A.S. (Give A S**T). That's too bad, because they could have a great product here with very little modification.If you're not capable or prepared to modify this livewell on you're own, you may want to look elsewhere, but be prepared to pay a lot more. The West Marine tanks are really nice but about 3-4 times the price.

The 100 gallon livewell in the picture, IS NOT the one you will receive. This 100 gallon livewell you will get has 2 molded in cup holders that will only accommodate cans only(no kooize) hole size is 3"x1"1/2 deep and 2 molded in rectangular areas that measure 10"x5"x1"1/2, on top. It also has 6 molded in theads at the base for screwing in brackets.

Bigger than I though it would be, construction seems pretty bullet proof. Glad I picked this one, the others I have seen on some boats were much smaller than I thought they would be. Converting this one over to be more like a Keep Alive style tank, definitely needed this size of tank because of the palm sized bait fish that we use offshore, looks like it will hold several dozen. Excellent product, shipped on time and packaged well enough when the fed-ex driver threw it on the porch it was still undamaged.

Perfect. Added hinges to mine so the lid doesn't fly away. Came with mounting brackets. But no screws to go in the tank. Have no clue where to get these. They screw hole is shallow. Anyway I'm sure the screws were supposed to come with it. Still 5 star.
