Wonderful, thought-provoking reading for those with large unmanicured gardens. It’s particularly interesting to read the retrospective comments on what planting ideas have worked and which have not turned out as planned.

Lovely story…omitting, of course, the small details that they were rich and well- connected…but still all credit to her bravery in innovating in such a tradition bound field,as gardening at that time.
