Impressive & Portable DAC that's Crystal Clear
This DAC blew me away with its sound for its size. It was smaller than I expected, which made it perfect for portability. Its 220mW headphone amplifier is crazy, enough to power any headphones you could want and make them pop. There was no distortion as advertised; it made my IEMs sound great, and I could hear every detail in the songs. I have a small complaint about how the volume control works, as there isn't a visual top and bottom for the volume, and you have to guess, but the buttons are simple. I haven't had any issues with temperature running this at 32-bit, 384kHz for extended periods of time. Overall, this works perfectly for my use case, and I will definitely take this with me on trips. I don't have to sacrifice the sound I'm used to at home when I travel. I would definitely recommend this, as it's affordable, portable, and reliable.

The best Dac on the market under 150$
This thing is amazing and drives even some very demanding audio set ups. This thing will give you some amazing audio and without it I felt like my IEMs were not loud enough and felt like they weren’t powered fully. This thing woke them up and gave me the best audio I’ve ever had. You haven’t listened to music before you’ve tried this and it even has the power to drive some senheiser over ear headphones. It may be small but it’s POWEFUL! You will blow your ears out if you went all the way up on it. I love how small but super high quality feeling it’s heavy and everything about it feels premium and more expensive than a lot of the competitors that cost a lot more money.Only thing is I wish it had an iPhone to usb C cable. Other than that make sure to turn your volume all the way up on your device then use the volume buttons on the DAC itself to adjust the level. This will give you the best sound.

Decent for the price but not amazing
Decent for the price. Good power, but a bit muddied across the board. Definitely tuned for bass heavy music. Great if you like heavy EDM music and the like. It doesn't have it's own battery and pulls from your phone, not a lot but might be an issue if you have a phone with a dying battery.

Quality product and nice build
This has worked really well as a DAC and mini-amp. I've used it to connect headphones to a smartphone, and a DMP to an audio amp as a jack converter. Both situations work well. The unit is very solid and made of cast or machined metal. It's a bit heavy so adds some weight to your audio rig by the time you add up the source, this DAC, and any extra headphone cords, but it works well and sounds really good. Can get good signal from a weak source (phone) or to high impedance headphones. Simple to operate -- plug and play.

Good Lil Dac
Gets a little warm, but the overall sound is very good and transparent. It doesn’t color the sound at all. Build quality is all metal and very robust. Nice Dac at a decent price. Plenty of power to drive any IEM. I even tried it with my Fiio, Jade Audio headphones and the sound quality was superb.

Sound is very good, when it works
This thing can produce music with good quality and fidelity, when it's in good working order. It works very well when connected to Windows computers and Samsung smartphones, but NOT so well with Google Pixel phones. When it is plugged in to Pixel 8 Pro phones, it would make very loud white noise that has the potential of damaging your hearing. But after a few times (close to 10 times of trying) plugin & unplug it, the loud white noise would magically go away and then you can enjoy your music safely. The same problem would happen again the next time when you try to use it with Pixel phone.I had contacted the manufacturer of this product but did not get any useful help. Changing of USB cables did no help either. It must be something between Google's Pixel and this Fosi Audio DS1 product that's not working well.

Great sound, portable, and well made
I purchased this DAC mainly because I upgraded my iPhone and no longer needed a lightning to 3.5mm adapter. The idea of a portable amp/DAC intrigued me for years, but i was waiting for the technology to improve. I’m glad I waited for this little gem. The performance for under $80 bucks is fantastic. It drives my 150ohm Drop 58x headset with ease on the low gain setting. I’ve hooked up a set of Westone IEMs as well, and the sound is full and powerful. The volume rocker on the unit lets you max out the source and control volume locally in smaller increments as well. I don’t have a balanced cable yet, but I can’t wait to try the 4.4mm output one day.One things to note is that it’s fairly heavy for how small it is. Feels very solid and expensive in hand though. I‘m hoping that translates into something super durable to take on the road with me. Overall, I’m very pleased!

Audible static/glitching
The sound is really good, but every few seconds the audio glitches out with a vinyl-type scratching sound effect which really just takes away from any immersion you might have had listening to a song.
