Skin So Soft Dry Oil Spray 150ml

Absolutely wonderful product, smells great, easy to apply, quickly absorbs into skin, non greasy. Made my skin feel smooth and moisturised but also worked as a great mosquito repellent. Bought the 150ml bottle perfect for recent camping trip and didn’t get bitten once. Would definitely recommend and will be purchasing again.

I’ve always wrinkled my nose at the thought of putting “dry oil” on my skin. Firstly, because it’s just a contradiction in terms. How can oil be dry? Surely it’s grassy and oily? Actually it isn’t. It’s exactly what it says it is. It’s easy to apply, doesn’t stain or mark your clothes, is easily absorbed and leaves your skin as soft as a babies bot-bot without the greasy stickiness of baby oil. However, the reason I bought it is because several friends said it’s the best mozzie repellent on earth and I get eaten alive every year if I so much as say I’m thinking about booking a holiday, never mind actually going on one. Well I was a tad skeptical as you can imagine but I’ve got to admit this stuff is nothing short of miraculous. Usually I return from the med every summer with my body converted into one massive mozzie bite but this year, I came back with one small nibble on the back of my neck. That’s right peeps. ONE. I don’t know what it is Avon (which I usually can’t stand) puts in this stuff but keep it coming. You can keep your smelly Buzz Off and Jungle Formula. This stuff smells girly and delicious and keeps my skin soft whilst repelling the critters. Good times. Have restocked for my next hol in September.

Pros - bottle was bigger than I expected. Leaves still feeling moisturised and the ultimate benefit is that it keeps the mosquito at bay. I am a mozzy magnet but not no more. Skin moisturiser and mossy spray in one!! Cons - the smell, smells like chemicals (similar to a mozzy spray) hence why the low start rating

Brilliant been using this for years. Make sure skin feels soft and it also keeps nats away at night-time. This was the main reason why I use it as I get bitten quite easy. It's not greasy and it smells nice

I only bought this because I live in the countryside, and I was being bitten to death by the most bloodthirsty mosquito that was hiding somewhere in my house for weeks. My entire arm looked like I had some sort of picking issue - it was bitten all the way around (clearly I’m delicious from too much wine and cured meat ingestion) but it was becoming really distressing, waking up every single morning and my arms were missing small, round chunks; taken out of it, by some hungry lady mosquito. I hoover, clean and dust every single day, I checked every area that I possibly could. I was trying absolutely everything, and I still could not find this insect. It was one single, solo bite each evening. Which ruled any of the other biting bugs that it could be. No matter how much I tried, no matter what I did or what I wore, this insect was still managing to chomp my upper right arm, night after night. Long story short, I bought this stuff and slathered it all over the arm in question, and all over the rest of me, and the biting stopped. I kept putting it all over my body night after tonight, or rather on the exposed parts of my body, and it never happened again. I am a really sensitive person, so if I put any perfume creams or oils on my body, I tend to get a rash, this did not give me a rash at all. It’s obviously getting to the time of year where it’s a little bit rainy and there’s going to be a few more insects about trying to get into the house, therefore, if you are a very tasty human being, you have delicious blood, or you’re just unlucky with insects and they like to bite you, I highly recommend this item. Deet is pretty toxic and I really didn’t like the idea of putting it all over my body each night. The blue lighting that’s meant to attract the bugs and zap them when you plug them in, just act like ambient disco lighting for the mosquitoes and they just fly past it having a lovely time. But this Avon stuff genuinely works. I will be buying it for years, especially in the summer. Please never stop making it. It’s genuinely the only stuff that gets those things to stop biting me. 10/10.

Not so keen on the scent which is a bit overpowering in my opinion but I feel this is a really great product to have during summer months or a holiday, as it certainly helps to moisturise skin and yes it does repel pesky mosquitos! Perfect to take on a hot holiday abroad.

I always use this product & it’s great, however the bottle I was sent is out of date by 5 months!

fab oil and non greasy. It really does help with mosquitos and much less bites so thats fab.

We have a neighbor with a pool that has gone to pond. The mosquitos are terrible in the early evening to the point you can't go outside. A light spray of the Skin so Soft made a HUGE difference. My husband, a mosquito magnet, was able to be outside without being tormented. The spray is light on the skin and the fragrance is light and pleasant. Highly recommend over the various poisons on the market.
