Sanyun SW206 80W 2.0 Active Bookshelf Speakers, Dual-Mode Creator & Music

Previously has the Sanyun SW208, and the 206 arrived today and it’s day and night, tighter bass, quite easy to drive and setup, great imaging and separation with a really wide soundstage for the size, great value, and very reliable, the built in DAC is nice too since I can’t use my own on some devices, Hifi mode is my personal choice, but yeah for the size it packs a lot of power.

Glad I purchased when I did.Connected straight to PC via USB-C.Work well.Loud enough to fill a good sized room but don't expect to play gigs with them.Sound quality is good, thought not perfect. They're clear enough for my needs and I can hear the whole range - i can hear each instrument well, each individual percussion sound. If you're an audiophile you will find fault (you always do hahahah). If you want as close to perfect as possible, go and shell out £1,000's on a different system. For home use though these are planty good enough.They seem solid and well made (although internal wiring is always a main indicator of quality, I won't be opening them up).Lot's of features - USB connectivity, bluetooth, optical port, headphone port, can switch modes for Hi-Fi or monitor setup which means they should run connected to stereo or TV as well (I haven't tried them that way yet).Aesthetically pleasing to look at as well.Can take 6.35mm (1/4") jack to connect to a system as well by the looks of it.Overall, for the money, they're impressive and look great.Great job SanYun!

This is my initial review. I went for the Sanyun SW206 80W Dual-Mode Bookshelf Speakers. These boast 2 functions, HiFi and Monitor Mode (for music production). I haven't tested them as monitors yet (I will in future, and for the price of £110 on offer I couldn't pass up the extra functionality). I am reviewing these as I haven't seen a single review anywhere on the internet.Set up was straightforward. I rigged them up by Aux and Optical to my PC. Both functioned as they should, with no background noise. I have defaulted to Optical so I can keep the aux cable free for headphone use.The handy remote handles input changes, volume, track skipping and play/pause and controls Bluetooth and pairing. Great!In HiFi mode they have me pleasantly surprised. Listening to music, the speakers have a nice range, with plenty of bass.Note that a little EQ fiddling is definitely required. I noticed immidiately that the left speaker was slightly imbalanced/ louder. I therefore pushed the main volume to the right ever so slightly using my msi motherboard sound settings which fixed the issue. The vocals needed rolled off in the mix, as they were a little sharp/ overpowering and the treble pushed to make hihat, snares, cymbals etc. clearer. So I pushed the bass, lowered the mids and pushed the higher frequencies (you can just about see the EQ I settled on in the pic). Of course, EQ is all personal taste when listening to music.Once the EQ was sorted for Music I tried out some gaming. They sounded great, but I needed to mess with the bass and treble on the actual unit to get the most out of the experience - no biggie as they're in arms reach.So in summary, they're not as good as some of the more expensive gear out there. Audiophiles beware! BUT with some EQ fiddling, troubleshooting balance and messing with the on board controls depending on use, they are more than good enough for PC speakers. I would recommend them!

Second pair of these speakers for the house really good and clear sound and easy to use.

Fabulous sound in a large bedroom suite.There is a blue light though that stays on all night which may bother some people. Super base and quality sound even when on loud volume.

Unfortunately after purchasing these speakers twice they were delivered with the same fault. Left hand passive speaker started to crackle from the minute it was plugged in. Lovely looking and the sound that was delivered from the right hand active speaker was great but unfortunately after two bad speaker batches we sent these back and moved to a different brand.

Decent speakers but the remote control does not work. Even though they were contacted several weeks ago they don’t seem interested. Shame as the speakers themselves are alright.

These are most definitely 5-star speakers for the price. I bought them simply to use with my PC, but since they arrived I have been pairing them with Bluetooth all around the house. In addition to the connections that I was expecting, there is also an optical socket, which will pair with my hi-fi. A nice bonus.The sound quality is extremely good for their size, and the Bluetooth range is exceptional. The remote control works well, and will control tracks playing on my mobile phone. The two modes are a neat option. Hi-fi mode for playing music, and PC mode for sound from the computer. As you can tell, I am very pleasantly surprised.

Pues son los primeros monitores de estudio que tengo y he de decir que cumplen sobradamente mis espectativas.De hecho siempre practico guitarra electrica con un ampli y desde que tengo estos monitores no lo utilizo. Toco a través del PC con software y es fantástico. Escucho realmente el sonido de mi guitarra. Como altavoces bluetooth suenan de cine y a través de la conexión coaxial a la interfaz de audio también fenomenal.Cien por cien aconsejables. Claramente los hay mejores y seguro estoy que después de saber como se comportan los monitores de estudio, cuando estos se estropeen iré a por otros de mayor calidad, pero estos, por el precio que tienen....simplemente fantásticos.Comentar también que la primera prueba fue conectados a corriente y a la salida de una pedalera Pog Go directamente y el sonido era muy muy bueno, igual que un altavoz FRFR.
