The board is very nice. The pieces look good. The magnets work well. The product arrived quickly and the price was unbeatable.

Great, but the magnets fall out of the pieces.

Pros:- Price is right for a compact, travel-friendly board game kit.- Magnets are strong enough to hold pieces to the board without being too difficult to pry up to move. This also prevents pieces from being knocked out of position by accidental clumsiness and/or children.- Chess pieces are traditional style, making them good for teaching new players the game.- Board folds up with a strong snap feature to securely hold the board closed for travel.Cons:- Checkers pieces all have a crown, making it a bit confusing for young players to learn the game and differentiate between regular pieces and kinged pieces.- Checkers/backgammon pieces are *small*. It would be nice if they were just a bit bigger to make them easier to maneuver, especially when playing backgammon in the recessed tray.- I wish the light squares were a traditional ivory/white. Teaching children to play, constantly correcting myself (or being corrected) that the light squares are not "white" is... mildly aggravating, but in no way a real issue.Other Thoughts:- The magnets are not all aligned (just a manufacturing reality, not oversight), making stacking pieces together while playing hit-or-miss. Not really a big deal, since you can switch out for another piece that does have the same North-South pole alignment.- 4 stars (instead of five) just due to weight and overall quality. It's perfectly acceptable given the price-point, but the whole thing feels cheap (which - duh - it is, but that's OK).

I love it !My girlfriend and i play all the time.No, its not much to look at.No, the entire thing looks cheep and isn't at all pretty but that's not why you get it.You get it because it bloody works.uneven ground, no problem.your psychotic <1 year old puppy jumps all over you just to say hi... no problem.the peaces stay there.the latch when you close it is strong as well.Get it.

Low quality plastic. Cheap and flimsy. And having “Made In China” printed right on the board is tacky. Sheet metal board bends easily and board won’t sit flat.
