- Game Changer for Weed Control
I recently picked up the Roughneck ROU68307 Sharp-Edge Dutch Hoe, and I have to say, it has completely changed my approach to weeding. My garden beds and vegetable patches used to be a daunting task, but this hoe makes quick work of everything. The "sharp-edge" feature is no joke. Unlike dull standard hoes, this one glides just beneath the soil surface, cleanly slicing through the roots of weeds (even tough perennial ones) with minimal effort. It feels incredibly satisfying and requires very little strain on the back or arms—you just push and glide. The build quality is excellent. It feels sturdy and well-made, and the handle is comfortable enough for extended use. After several sessions, the edge is holding up beautifully. If you want a tool that saves you time and effort in the garden, look no further. Highly, highly recommend

An effective, good, strong hoe
I bought this after breaking yet another beautiful "heritage" type hoe - the type that cost a lot and promise to last a lifetime. Meh. I have a roughneck hammer and mattock, so I thought I'd try this. This is not a beautiful hoe. But it is stout, solid and strong and has handled everything that I have thrown at it so far from weeding and cultivating to removing turf. It is already amongst my favourite tools. It is heavier than your average hoe, but well balanced and comfortable in use. The handle is well shaped for use in various angles and the sharp edges make short work of weeds.

Built like a tank — one of the best gardening tools I’ve bought
Possibly one of the best gardening tools I’ve ever bought. Solid, well made, and feels like it’ll last forever. Cuts through tough soil and roots with no problem at all. One thing to note — like all Roughneck gear, it’s on the heavier side. So if you're a bit of a weakling, you might find it a workout (no offence). But if you want something that feels indestructible, this is the one to get.

Not your average Hoe..
Well to start with this isn't the average Hoe, it's the stuff you get out when you have a problem...I bought this to get rid of a load of brambles as they are tough..as soon as you get this in your hand you realise it's not for gently hoing between the cabbages..it's a hoe on steroids..the handle is thick, very thick, it also has a rubber grip at the end of it, but the business end is the bit that does the work it's serrated at the sides and the edge to the front of the hoe is sharp..it's a fibreglass or composite handle, i think ..it's quite long to, as a hoe should be...it's really well built for tough stuff..so if you have problem roots or tough weeds then this will be the thing you reach for..it's not light but I didn't find it over heavy.. So to sum up, it's very well built, it's tough, it looks as though it will last forever.and if you just want to hoe between the plants to remove some young weeds, buy something else...if you need something that needs extra ooomphh...this is it...

Professional hoe that eats weeds.
Having 3 allotments, weeds are a bug bear. I was looking for a pull back stirrup hoe and saw this one and decided to give it a go. It is heavy and extremely well engineered. The curved hand piece to allow one's hand to push is out of this world. The head or blade is heavy enough that it lays flat and doesn't bounce. If the soil is soft it is s easy to bury the head and pull using one's weight which is far easier than pushing. Hand on heart it is the best gardening tool I have ever purchased. But. It is a professional tool. It is at least twice as heavy as the toy hoes so don't expect a spindly thin handled tool. It is made for heavy work. It is simply brilliant.

Stout, well-built hoe
Stout, well-built hoe. Used for chopping out dandelions in gravelly soil. Serrated edges are a bonus.
