Hi installed a door 36x80 weighting 200 lbs works quite well using 3 of these hinges... Prior use on 40x80 door weighting Slightly more 9 years now absolutely no complain ... Daniel

Q: I know these are called "non-removable pin" hinges but can't you remove the pin with a hammer and nail, from below, before installing them?

The whole point of a non-removable pin is specifically that you CAN'T remove the pin with a hammer and nail. It prevents an intruder from popping all your hinge pins out to gain entry through a locked door.
