Easy to set up and works great
We needed a new wireless printer to go with our laptop that we just purchased and this HP printer works great. It has all of the basic functions and was so easy to set up. It connected wirelessly to my laptop and within minutes I was able to print out documents with no issues. The size is great and doesnt take up much space on my desk and I am happy with the quality and how quickly it prints.

Easy set up
It was easy to install, don’t know why everyone thinks you need to use an Ethernet cable to set up I never did. Wi fi connected right up works great. Don’t use that much and with inkjet every time I wanted to print the ink was dried up. Hard to find just a printer anymore everything is multi function. Great price, good quality and cartridges aren’t that expensive. Will update in a month or so.

You have to use a hard-wired connection to initially connect it to Wi-fi
Printer itself works OK. Nothing fancy, BUT: there is no screen or anything on the printer to use to select a wireless network, enter a password, etc. There are just 4 plain buttons, one of which is a wifi button. It's supposed to just magically (?) connect. The setup guide that comes with the printer just says to use the HP Smart App. The app does work to connect to and manage the printer, BUT it needs to be connected to the same network as your computer in order to do that. Can't use the app to get to network settings that I need to change to connect to the network. What I ended up doing was connecting the printer to my network directly with an Ethernet cable. From there, I was able to access the built-in web server on the printer to get to wifi settings. Even that was a chore. There is an "i" button on the printer - when I pressed that, it printed a sheet of paper that had the URL for the web interface (luckily, otherwise - I wouldn't even have known there was a web interface). The web interface requires a password to login. It's printed inside the cartridge door, but nothing mentions that - I had to just Google it. Once I got the wifi network information entered, the printer connected to the network. I just added it directly in Windows (I don't like the HPSmart app)

Excellent Quality
The media could not be loaded. I needed a printer to be able to print school materials in Word, Excel, pdf & PowerPoint format that included wireless and remote printing features, the capabilities of double-sided printing to save an paper as well as printing in grayscale only (black and white), and this printer does exactly that. I have been able to print a ton of school work, the ink is durable & it doesn’t run, and it prints material fast. This has been an excellent product. Will definitely purchase again

Works great but difficult wifi setup
I used a MacBook Pro to configure WiFi printing. Put paper in printer and pushed the power button. However the paper jam light stayed on. When I downloaded and ran smarthp program it would not find the printer probably because paper jam light was on. I removed the paper tray and reinserted it. This time the paper jam light was not on. I was then able to see the printer. The rest of the installation was fine. I opted to not use the hp cloud printing. The print quality, speed, and WiFi connectivity are great. Unlike my old hp printer, it’s always connected to my network. No more having to restart the printer because you can’t see it on the network.

Hard working printer
This printer works very well. I have two of them at my outlying shops and they are subjected to some heat and dust but they have held up wonderfully.

Great printer, right out of the box.
This is the best printer I've ever had, and I've had lots of em. This printer printed perfect copies right out of the box and it was easy to install the drivers (into two computers), and it prints perfectly from both machines. Thank you HP and Amazon for developing/distributing such a great product. FYI: I have been using it for a month and have printed several hundred copies on it without a glitch.

Connectivity/Set up was super frustrating with Mac IOS
The set up on this printer was super frustrating to say the least. Software was useless. Model did not show. Later found the model number and next saw drop down menu for operating system, windows and Linux listed but not IOS. Directed them to another page asking for printer which then did not recognize a printer, which was 123.HP App. This did not work either. Finally attempted to connect WiFi, would not connect, asking for password and was none. Last attempt was to use WPS button on router, which connected as WiFi blue light went from blinking to steady blue. The printer was finally connected. Perhaps the issue was attempting to connect with Mac IOS as opposed to windows. Also finally connected WiFi to phone as well.I hope thatt this may help anyone else who was struggling with this set up
