Seven months, hundreds of gallons, still working.
I bought one of these distillers seven months ago, and have distilled at least a hundred gallons of water with it. The good: It is so easy to use. Easy to fill, then just set it running and come back later. If you have a tank (as I do) you can run it as many times as you need to fill it, then just run it when your tank needs a top-off. It can make clean water faster than you can use it for drinking, making coffee, watering house-plants, and so on. The default timer (3 hours 30 minutes) is just right to fill the (included) 3-liter carafe and leave a little residue in the bottom of the boiler so it never boils dry. My previous unit boiled dry a few times, and although the thermal switch worked, it did eventually damage the unit. I have never had that problem with this one. The only real cleaning it needs is the occasional shot of citric acid (included) to dissolve the scale, and once in a while, pull off the gasket and make sure it's clean. Sometimes the boiling water can throw minerals up onto the top section, and you have to descale it. (When you use it a lot, it is at boiling temperature for long periods of time, so it is effectively sterilized. You don't have to worry about bacterial contamination!) The bad: After using it for several months, the stainless upper part of mine is rusting and cracking. Stainless steel will rust, if you put something on the surface, like the big silicone rubber gasket that this machine uses, and let water in between the surfaces. You have to remove the gasket when you aren't using it, though you can put it back once it is completely dry. It would be nice if they made a 5-gallon version. This unit makes three liters at a time. You will have to keep refilling and restarting it several times a day if you need enough to fill a bigger jug or tank. In summary, if you use it as intended, it will distill a lot of water for you. I could not have bought as much distilled water from the grocery store as I have already made with this unit for the money that I paid for it and the power it has consumed.

You need this if you drink tea, coffee or lemonade.
Great price & well packed for shipping. Easy to understand manual, but spell check for English would be helpful. Fast set-up, cleaning regularly makes a difference. Would recommend to anyone who has a CPAP, irons clothes, makes coffee or drinks water.

Improved timer, prefer old pitcher
Needed to replace a unit that quit working. The new timer that is preset for 3.5 hours is fantastic. Definite improvement. My complaints would be with the new pitcher. On the positive side it has a silicon ring at the bottom that is protective and adds some stability. It also has ml measurements on the side which could be beneficial. On the other hand I hate the hard plastic lid. Seems flimsy and easy to break. The piece over the spout does not close, so it seems pointless. The new pitcher is also slightly taller than the old one. So to put the pitcher under the spout on the unit, you either need to line it up perfectly with the spout on the pitcher or tip the pitcher slightly. I imagine the spout on the pitcher was designed to make it easier to pour, but I found it does not work for me. I end up spilling water unless I pour VERY slowly and carefully. The metal lid on the old pitcher is more secure and easier for me to pour without spilling a drop.

Great water distiller!👍
Absolutely love this! I got the red one, and use it daily to make distilled water for my humidifier, and it’s been wonderful! I highly recommend it!

Not durable, will break from normal use within months
EDITED: downgraded from 2 star to 1. Vevor customer service is as reliable as their products. For 6 days now they have told me to “please wait 1-3 days for technical support”, despite me telling them the unit has completely failed electrically and a replacement is in order, not technical support. Also, this is my second distiller of theirs within 2 years. First one ended with bad seals after a year. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me… :( UPDATE: Vecor customer service took 12 calendar days to tell me my electrical cable is malfunctioning, without proof. And said itll be 20-30 days before their replacement cable arrives. Insane Reliably Breaks. I've had 2 of these over the years. First one, seal completely busted after 1 year of use 2nd one, electronics completely failed after 3 months of use. No, I did not abuse the unit or anything. I was very careful with it each time. This unit is quintessential cheap Chinese manufacturing that's designed to be replaced not fixed. IF YOU BUY, KNOW YOU WILL NEED A WARRANTY (MANUFACTURER OR ASURION). WORKS WELL UNTIL IT DOESN'T!

Works very well.
It works exactly as advertised. We make about 6 gal a week, which is more convenient than I expected it to be.

Faster than I expected
Bought to make distilled water for my Cpap. Thought maybe this would save me from hauling gallons from the store every other month. The unit makes water fast. I set it for 2 hours it makes a half gallon. I like that it has a timer that allows you to keep water in the boulder to prevent scaling. Fan noise is reasonable. I’m happy with the unit.

Good design but poor quality components
I purchased this distiller about four months ago and I've been producing a couple of gallons per week of distilled water since then. Overall, I am pleased with the design and features -- I am especially happy with the timer feature that keeps it from boiling dry and building up crud in the bottom -- and it works well when it is working. However, a couple of weeks ago it inexplicably stopped working; the panel wouldn't light when it was plugged in and nothing seemed to work to get its attention. After a couple of hours to diagnose the problem, it turned out to be that the somewhat flimsy fuse holder that is built into the main power cord connector was broken, and no power could flow through the fuse as a result. Even worse, it appeared that someone had previously and ineptly attempted to solder the broken part of the fuse holder back into place. It took a bit of work to get it properly soldered back together (it was a very tight fit to get my soldering iron into the teeny-tiny fuse holder, but I managed it), and now the distiller is working again. However, upon opening it up to work on the inside of the power connector, I could see that many of the other components are of equally marginal quality, and I suspect it is only a matter of time before something else fails. Nevertheless, when it is working, it does the job well. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't been able to diagnose the problem and repair it myself.

helder water

distillatore toalmente elettrico
