3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200, Black, 3 oz Tube

This is an excellent adhesive, which will basically stick anything to anything. It is totally waterproof. I've used it on everything from sticking rubber thresholds to concrete to re-gluing shoe soles with excellent results. Just be aware that it will NEVER release it's bond and you will destroy whatever is stuck together trying to separate it. If you want a permanent and impervious bond from now until the end of time, this is the stuff.

TAKES 7 DAYS TO CURE Needed to reseal my 12v 100ah lifepo4 battery. My battery design is pretty dumb and they put the handle on the top lid which was only sealed with the bare minimum of a few dabs of some type of similar adhesive on the side that came undone. The only downside to ordering it online was that the nozzle was cracked at the bottom and broken off of the retainer ring but the nozzle was still usable. Ive used the 3m 5200 adhesive sealant before so I already knew what to expect. If you can use caulk gun you can use this..but make sure you dont get it on you or its really hard to get off. Gas will work but it sucks lol. i do wish I had gotten the 3m 5200FC that cures in 24 hours instead though.

The slow cure is only very marginally stronger than the fast cure (the red tube) - go for FC! What works for me... 1) wear gloves when applying - this is some messy glue. I wear nitrile gloves, cover the work surface and apply it with tongue depressors. I don't use the included nozzle. 2) A little goes a long way - you will be applying this in a film less than 1/16th inch. As a result, you will likely use only 10-15% of a 3 oz. tube in any one session. Cover the tube mouth with wax paper or parchment paper, then reapply the cap. I store the opened tubes in the freezer. I still get a cured block at the top of the tube, but that clears with a large screw. I once got 4 working sessions from a tube! 3) I am appalled by the low grade adhesives used in $100 athletic shoes and $200 hiking boots. This is my go-to for re-attaching soles.

Purchased this product to attempt to seal a challenging flashing issue which has three different material in an awkward transition. I removed all the material from the previous two attempts to waterproof the area, leaving a larger than previous opening to work this material into. After cleaning and prepping the surfaces, I began to applying this 3M product. It is thick, but not problematic to dispense - possibly other reviewers were dispensing through a smaller orifice than me - I used the full tube opening without a tip. The product is exceptionally easy to manipulate and smooth out - almost putty like. Unlike other products like silicone and polyurethane, it didn't stick much to my applicator and thus stayed were I wanted it (without sag) and also smoothed out easily. Bottom line is it adhered to all three materials, filled the voids perfectly, looks great, and the leak is no more! I highly, highly recommend this product - it's amazing!

Works great Takes forever to dry (defiantly not 3! more like 4-days -1 Star*)!! I got mine with the tip!! No holes, came just fine!! Stuff is great!! Strong with a little flex to it. Think caulk with strength.. For the reviewer talking about the tip not working? ?Poke a hole in the end of the tube! You do have to cut the end off on the nipple you screwed on!! Also there is a pop top lip on the bottom, you have to pull that off as well. Looks like you figured that out ok? But Yes you do have to cut the tip off and ----> poke a hole in the end of the tube as well!! Before screwing the nipple on!! So here is a recap... Poke a hole in the end where the tip screws on and cut the tip off the nozzle a little at an angle and pull the pop top pull lid off the bottom. Done P.S. Could have put my project together with just this no need for rivets as I was using Composite Aluminum Panels..

Great product. Used it to seal the seams on our camping trailer. Dried fairly quickly, and kept a pliable seam (did not harden or crack) and it held up during the rainy season. 1 tube was plenty enough for a 35' trailer.

This stuff works amazingly well! Make sure you want a permanent bond because thats what this stuff does!

Make sure to wear gloves and have solvent cleaner to wipe off squeeze out off right away! This 3m 5200 is no joke! It is amazing

Expensive, does what it says. I had a leak in a glass roof and used this. It took a couple of days to dry but the leak has completely stopped.

Incredible product for boats or anything that requires permanent repair or attachment. have used it on my boat and exposed to sun and weather for years, no deterioration.

Delivered on time, well packaged. Used on the boat transom to fill in transducer screw holes. It's easy to use. It does take a week to fully cure but works perfectly. I recommend for anyone working on a boat. Use a caulk tube plug to seal and save unused product.
