Heavy and beautiful.

This cauldron is cast iron that was made in 2 half’s, then welded together. The welding job is not visually appealing and leaves gaps where debris can get stuck.

Very wide/large and great for decoration. I would not use it as an actual cauldron. Does not seem like it would hold liquid

Yes, I know this is in the Halloween section, but how many of us out there haven't gone sourcing from the decoration sections for this and that over time??? This cauldron is a huge find for me. I was using a wide pillar candle dish as a cauldron but that only goes so far. I am at the point in my work where I need to burn things and mix herbs, etc. This caldron is so much bigger than I expected. I can easily burn entire sheets of paper in here!It is made of cast iron, so it is heavy but also very sturdy. I can't knock it over. Literally, you need to pick it up to push the thing over. It is designed very well. The legs are offset by the handles on the side, so no matter which way you push it, it will never tip completely over. (yes, I tried many times, and a few extra by accident)Cast iron is great for heat. I would still be extra careful burning anything, but I have yet to make the cauldron hot enough to the touch to do any harm.Extra tip: if you burn one of those incense cones that make lots of smoke inside the cauldron, it gives it a very mystic feel. The incense smoke will settle inside and stay in there for awhile. Looks very cool, and great visual focus to start a meditation or divination.If you are just looking for a decoration, this can work but keep in mind it is heavy. Cast iron is not light. Just be careful where you put it, because if it falls it will likely break.

Es un caldero precioso en su sencillez. Voy a curarlo hoy mismo. Está más grande de lo que me lo imaginaba. Me será de mucha utilidad para mis rituales...me encantó. Quedo feliz y satisfecha con la compra
