I have been asked what it is made of, and I honestly don't know, but what I can say is that it is attractive, light weight, and just what I wanted it to be. The fire poker was missing. I contacted both the manufacturer and Amazon costumer service and they did not want to help me. They refused to send me a replacement fire poker. Do not buy this product!
